Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a device for reducing the effect, commonly referred to as the bolus, generated by the medical oxygen distribution valves at the request of the patient, in particular by means of a mask or nasal cannulae. 'oxygenation. In fact, the opening and the alternative closure of the oxygen distribution valves on demand causes a sudden arrival of this one under pressure at the opening of the valve with uncontrolled flow rates, inconstant and much higher than the flow rate. initial set upstream.

Such an effect causes inconvenience such as shock upon the sudden arrival of the gas under pressure in the nostrils of the patient and the inherent noise with the consequence, in addition to the discomfort caused, the desaturation of the patient because he tends to breathe by the mouth to reduce the inconvenience and mainly the phenomenon of shock. BACKGROUND ART The known state of the art does not seem to describe a device intended to reduce or even eliminate this type of phenomenon. Also, the applicant has designed and realized a simple and effective device for reducing the bolus by simply inserting it into the oxygen supply circuit to the patient. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention therefore aims to provide a device implementing a novel and original solution capable of eliminating the aforementioned drawbacks. It relates for this purpose, a device which is essentially characterized in that it consists of a sleeve adapted to be inserted into the oxygenation circuit connecting the oxygen source to the supply pipe of the mask or nasal cannula and in that said sleeve comprises a central pipe whose shape and dimensions are adapted to constitute a low-pass filter reducing bolus otherwise reducing inconvenience. According to embodiments of the invention: the central duct of the sleeve comprises a narrowing consisting of two truncated cones mounted in opposition by the vertices. said two truncated cones are connected by a cylindrical portion of well-defined length and diameter; the upstream truncated cone forms, with its central axis, an angle greater than the angle formed by the downstream truncated cone with said central axis.

Thus produced, said device constitutes a true pneumatic low-pass filter in a continuous / alternating flow rate. Such a device ensures optimal user comfort for the patient by maintaining an almost constant oxygen distribution throughout the inspiration phase to get closer to a continuous oxygen distribution. The reducer in question optimizes the use of oxygen distribution valves on demand: - its use is comfortable, smoothly and noiselessly; - the prescription rate is respected; the oxygen saving is optimal. It exists in different calibres and the reducer must be chosen according to the output pressure of the oxygen source according to data provided by the manufacturer. If the suitable gearbox can not be used, it is always preferable to use the larger gearbox.

In these drawings: - Figure 1 shows, in longitudinal section, the device according to the invention inserted into a medical oxygen distribution assembly; FIG. 2 represents a graph showing, in superposition, the curves (flow in liters as a function of time in seconds) of natural respiration (R1), assisted respiration with bolus (R2) and respiration with the device according to FIG. invention (R3). DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The device represented in FIG. 1 is intended to reduce the bolus generated by the opening and the alternative closure of the medical oxygen distribution valves at the request of the patient by means in particular of a mask or nasal cannulas of oxygenation. It consists of a sleeve (1) adapted to be inserted into the oxygenation circuit connecting the oxygen source (2) to the supply pipe (3) of the mask or nasal cannula. Said sleeve (1) comprises a central pipe (11) whose shape and dimensions are adapted to constitute a low-pass filter reducing bolus.

The central pipe (11) of the sleeve (1) comprises a narrowing consisting of two truncated cones (12) and (13), mounted in opposition by the vertices. The two truncated cones (12) and (13) are connected by a cylindrical portion (14) of length (L) of diameter (D).

The upstream truncated cone (12) forms, with its central axis (X), an angle (A) greater than the angle (B) formed by the downstream truncated cone (13) with said central axis.
