-1- EMBOUT NASAL POUR OXYGENATION THERAPEUTIQUE DESCRIPTION DOMAINE DE-1- NASAL TIP FOR THERAPEUTIC OXYGENATION DESCRIPTION FIELD OF
The present invention relates to a nosepiece for therapeutic oxygenation generally provided: a) a first channel communicating with a first pair of cannulas and able to be introduced, each in each nostril of the patient; b) a second line communicating with a second pair of cannulas, each in conjunction with each of the first cannulas, into each nostril of the patient. The first channel may be fed with a gas, in particular oxygen, and the second channel may be fed with another gas, in particular nitrogen, or crossed by the inspired and exhaled air by the patient in order to carry out the control of his breathing. BACKGROUND ART The closest prior art document is U.S. Patent No. 4,989,599, which discloses a cannula-based device for therapeutic breathing which consists of a pair of cylindrical bodies each having a pair of cannulas. cylindrical tubes intended to be introduced into the nostrils of the patient. The two bodies and their respective cannulas are nested so as to make said concentric bodies between them and said concentric cannulas between them.
Such a design has the following major drawbacks: a) firstly technical: assembly difficult to manufacture and assemble; b) then functional and therapeutic: - risk of leakage due to poor sticking of the concentric subsets between them; - poor detection of the presence of a patient due to the crushing of the central cannula, usually reserved for the passage of oxygen, under the effect of a large flow; - risk of accident in case of reversal of the direction of the device because of its non-symmetry; - not adaptable to the morphology of the patient (child / adult). SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention aims to provide a device of the kind in question for implementing a novel and original solution able to eliminate the aforementioned drawbacks. It relates for this purpose, a device which is characterized in that: -2 a) the nosepiece (1), which consists of two pipes and two pairs of cannulas, is monobloc and is obtained in a single operation molding using a conventional mold; b) each pair of cannulas capable of being introduced into each nostril of the patient, consists of a duct provided with a diametral septum delimiting, for the first, the cannulae belonging to the first duct and for the second, the cannulae belonging to the second duct; conduit thus obtaining a tip fully symmetrical with respect to its use and whose cannulas, juxtaposed, no longer present any risk of crushing.
In addition, by design it can be adapted to the morphology of the patient.
