Abstract

  The present invention relates to a system to prevent parasols from flying off because of the wind. Indeed, very often on the beaches, when there are wind squalls, the parasols fly on the beaches with the risk of causing accidents.

  There are already systems that use umbrella stakes with a corkscrew tip. However, this kind of foot can be dangerous to the extent that the end is prominent.

  The system according to the invention makes it possible to keep the parasol on the ground thanks to one or more pockets filled with sands or pebbles, linked to the stake.

  The user in case of wind must fill the pockets of the system with the material present on the beach, sand or pebbles. When he leaves, he empties.

  The accompanying drawings illustrate several methods of the invention among all the possible methods.

  Figure 1 shows the support (2) seen from the front.

  The system consists of two elements: a support part and a pocket part.

  The support (2) has a lower part (2b) and an upper part (2a). The support must be rigid, stainless and light. By way of example and not limitation, it can be plastic. This support is pierced in the middle to let the pole of the parasol (1). The lower part (2b) has a flared end (2b 1) which prevents the pocket portion from sliding along the umbrella post. It may be, by way of example and without limitation, be pear-shaped as in Figures let 3; the other end is threaded (2b2) and is screwed into the upper part of the support (2a).

  The assembly of the upper part (2a) and the lower part (2b2) forms a self-locking clamping system 2878704 2. By screwing the two parts of the support (2), it tightens the stake and hangs at the desired height. In contrast, by loosening the two parts, the support (2) is thus movable along the stake (1).

  The other part of the system forms the pocket or pockets. The system may have one or more pockets. Each pocket has an upper opening (4a) and a lower opening. The lower opening can be closed by a self gripping band, which keeps the pocket closed and open easily, when the user wants to empty, after use of the system. The pockets are of natural or synthetic materials but having both a weight resistance, tear resistance, flexibility and low weight.

  The pocket or pockets are locked between the two parts of the support (2) as in Figure 3. Each pocket or all pockets are pierced so that each pocket can be threaded on the stake. The hole through which the post passes can be reinforced by an eyelet type reinforcement (7).

  Figure 4 shows a pocket (4) in the case where the system with a single pocket.

  Assuming the multi-pocket system, it can be designed in many ways. Either it is equipped with several pockets (4) identical to that shown in Figure 4 and stacked on one another between the two parts of the support (2). Either the set of pockets is made from a round fabric (3) on which is fixed one or pieces of fabric (5). The piece or pieces may by way of example and in a nonlimiting manner, be sewn or heat-bonded on the round fabric. The piece or pieces are attached to the side portions so as to leave an opening on the lower and upper end. The lower opening can be closed by a hook and loop fastener (6).

  The center of the round fabric is pierced to allow passage of the umbrella post (1). The edges of the hole can be reinforced by an eyelet (7) to prevent tearing.

  The web (3) is locked between the two parts of the support (2). It is thus possible to determine the height at which the user wishes to place the pockets (5).

  1) System for preventing an umbrella from flying off because of the wind characterized in that it consists of one or more pockets (5) which are threaded along the post (1), to be filled with sand or pebbles fixed along the post of the parasol (1).   2) System according to claim 1, characterized in that the system consists of a support (2) in a lower part (2b) and an upper part (2a) which are screwed into each other, and between which the pocket (s) lock (4).   3) System according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that each pocket has a lower opening and an upper opening.   4) System according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the lower opening of the pockets can be closed using self-gripping tape (6).   5) System according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the pockets are formed by fixing on a round fabric (3) pierced at its center, pieces of fabric (5) which form the pockets.   6) System according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the holes through which the stake (1) passes are reinforced by eyelet type reinforcements (7).
