Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a device for strengthening security

pedestrians during

  crossing a pedestrian crossing and more particularly located near a school.

  This crossing is currently secured most of the time at the time of entry and exit of the students, by a police officer mobilized for this task, in addition in some cases of traffic lights. But not secure at the times of out of school activities. So a risk of accidents because of non-compliance with pedestrian crossings and traffic lights by motorists, you should know that in large cities one in five motorists goes through red lights and does not respect the pedestrian crossing.

  This invention allows pedestrians to cross a road safely by reducing the risk of accidents between vehicles and pedestrians, and also reducing the mobilization of one or more police officers.

  The device according to the invention consists of four automatic barriers, a pedestrian intending to cross is detected and triggers a flashing red light alerting the closure of road barriers, vehicles approaching the pedestrian crossing. Once these are closed, the pedestrian barriers open allowing pedestrians to pass within a defined time, a light signal warns them of their closings in order to reopen the road barriers.

  In the case where a pedestrian does not respect the pedestrian barrier, he is detected and triggers the flashing red light and an audible signal of infraction for him and the closure of the road barriers takes place.

  The device of the pedestrian barrier according to the invention makes it possible to avoid possible injuries to pedestrians during its operation. In fact, unlike tilting type devices, it is telescopic. It makes it possible to avoid any dangerous contact, in particular to the head with pedestrians during its operation.

  The device is autonomous, it can operate continuously or be put into service in selected time slots. It can be associated with traffic lights.

  With reference to drawings 1/5 and 2/5, the pedestrian barrier device comprises a support base (1) for receiving a fixed element (2), telescopic elements (3) of variable quantities and 10 of lengths, an electric actuator (4), two detectors (5) and (6), a sound system (7) and a light signal (8).

  The detector (5) detects the presence of a pedestrian intending to cross and triggers the flashing red light (F) and then closes the road barriers. The detector (6) detects the presence of a pedestrian still on the passage and makes it possible to avoid the closing of the pedestrian barriers before the end of the crossing of the latter. The telescopic elements (3) can be of cylindrical or rectangular section of suitable lengths, made of metal or plastic.

  The telescopic elements (3) are activated by the jack (4), the type of which may differ during manufacture. An emergency stop mechanism composed of a stop (9) with 2 return springs 20 (10) and d 'A switch (11), allows a momentary cut of the power supply to the cylinder (4), in the event of an obstacle encounter on closure. The light signal (8) alerts the pedestrian to the closing of the barriers.

  With reference to drawings 3/5 and 4/5, the road barrier device comprises a support base (12) for receiving a tilting element (13), a flashing red light (F), two detectors (14) and (15) .

  The detector (15) detects the presence of a pedestrian who has not complied with the pedestrian barrier and triggers the flashing red light (F) and the audible signal (7). The detector (14) detects a possible obstacle and makes it possible to delay this closing. The tilting element can be of cylindrical, rectangular section of suitable length, made of metal or plastic, it is actuated by a rotary electric jack or an electromechanical system.

  The devices (A) and (B) cannot be separated in the application referenced in drawing 5/5.

  The devices according to the invention are particularly intended to reinforce the safety of pedestrian crossings in particular located near a school exit.

Claims (3)

  1) Device to reinforce the safety of pedestrian crossings, in particular located near a school, characterized in that it comprises four automatic barriers of two different types (A) and (B).   2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that type A comprises a support base 10 (1) receiving a fixed element (2), telescopic elements (3) of variable quantities and lengths, an electric actuator (4) allowing the deployment of the telescopic elements (3), a detector (5) which detects pedestrians wishing to cross, a detector (6) which detects the presence of pedestrians still present on the passage before it is closed, an audible signal (7) is signaled to the pedestrian if he is in a dangerous situation and an offense due to his position 15 on the pedestrian crossing and a light signal (8) warns the pedestrian of the closing of the barriers.   3) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that type B comprises a support base (12) receiving a tilting element (13) actuated by an electric rotary actuator or an electromechanical system, a flashing red light (F) allows to alert vehicles for closing road barriers, a detector (15) which detects the presence of a pedestrian in a dangerous situation and which controls the flashing red light (F) and the sound signal (7) and a detector (14) which detects a possible obstacle to the closure of this element and in this case delays its closure.
