Abstract

The component has upper and lower fabrics (11,11) of varying thickness being super imposed on one another and being joined along their periphery by sewing (13). The upper fabric has a slit that allows the insertion of stem portion of a goblet between the two fabrics. The dimension of the slit is chosen such that after insertion of the stem of the glass the component remains joined to the glass.

  Technical anti-sagging element for stemware Technical field of the invention The present invention relates to the field of household arts and more specifically a decorative anti-sagging element for stemware.

  STATE OF THE ART We know of numerous articles and objects ensuring the decoration of a house table, and in particular the protection against stains and drips that the glasses can create on the tablecloth placed on the table.

  Known in particular are coasters - generally made of strong cardboard 20 on which the glasses are placed in order to prevent them from staining the tablecloth.

  Provided however that one takes the precaution of resting the glass well on its support, these undersides have a certain effectiveness and provided that these supports have a certain capacity for absorbing liquids. However, none of the known devices moves with the glass and implies that the latter is each time well rested on the device so that the latter can perform its function. In addition, these known coasters do not participate in the decoration of the glasses themselves.

  As will be seen below, the device according to the invention, in addition to its protective function, ensures the decoration of the glass itself whether or not it is placed on the

table.

  Pass J Disclosure of the invention The present invention aims to provide a protection and decoration element for a stemmed glass, remaining integral with the glass at all times.

  Another object of the present invention consists in proposing a stemmed glass support making it possible to avoid untimely effusions on the sheet.

  The invention provides an anti-sagging element for stemware, which element has two thicknesses (11, 11 ′) of material, for example fabric, said thicknesses being joined to each other at their respective peripheries, l 'upper thickness being provided with a buttonhole for inserting the foot 15 of the glass between said thickness, the size of the buttonhole being chosen so that after insertion of the glass foot the protective element remains integral with the glass.

  The assembly provides a bib or bib secured to the foot and ensuring the protection of any support, for example tablecloth or table, on which the stem glass 20 which would have a sag would come to be placed.

  If the thicknesses of materials are chosen from materials presenting decorations or aesthetic patterns, protection against sagging and decoration of the glass are carried out simultaneously.

  The assembly is also very simple to manufacture and particularly inexpensive to produce.   Description of preferred embodiments

  FIG. 1 illustrates a first embodiment of an anti-stitching element, 1o seen from above, produced by means of two thicknesses of fabrics 11 and 11 'arranged face to face. The figure shows the upper thickness 11 superimposed on the lower thickness 11 '. In this embodiment, the two thicknesses are circular in shape and are sewn together at their periphery by a seam 13 which can be an embroidery. The upper thickness 11 is provided with a buttonhole having a length sufficient to allow the stem of a glass to be inserted therein.

  FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment in which the upper thickness 21 and lower thickness 21 ′ are of triangular shape, the buttonhole in the element 21 being referenced 22.

  Figures 3 and 4 illustrate a third and a fourth embodiment, respectively octagonal and square, in which we again observe the upper thickness (resp. 31, 41), the seam (resp. 33, 43) and the notch (resp.

32, 42).

  Those skilled in the art will understand that the examples mentioned above, as to the shape of the thicknesses of materials, are in no way limiting. The form is only an aesthetic element left to the choice of the director, this form, whatever it is, in no way altering the anti-stain or anti-sagging function which is sought.

  FIG. 5 shows a stemmed glass (not referenced) provided with the triangular bib of FIG. 2.

  Pass J -5- 2850849 It will be understood that any drop falling along the glass will spread on the bib and not on the tablecloth or the support on which the glass rests.

  Figure 6 shows a glass associated with a circular bib.

  The structure according to the invention can take a wide variety of forms, in particular polygonal, said forms in no way altering the anti-sagging or anti-stain function of the structure.

  FIGS. 7 and 8 show another embodiment of the invention in which the thicknesses 11 and 11 of FIG. 1 are replaced by a single thickness of fabric 72 (resp. 81) provided with a lace at its periphery or ribbon 72 (not visible in FIG. 8), this ribbon being able to pass either through a hem or through openings so as to form a chaplet when the ribbon or lace is tightened. Therefore the foot i5 of the glass can be locked in the chaplain by tightening the ribbon, which will give the structure the desired anti-stain effect, while obtaining another aesthetic effect than that of the previous embodiments.

  Depending on the thickness placed above the ribbon, we will have the configuration of FIG. 7 or 8.

  In a preferred embodiment, one will choose to make the thickness or thicknesses of disposable materials after use.
