Abstract

The trampoline (2) is connected to the surrounding floor area (5) by a horizontal bar that is held in position, laterally and lengthwise, by a system of supple but non-stretch elements (18, 18'). The bar is subjected to upward pressure by a central telescopic leg (9) equipped with a lock (13) that is open in the rest position and is connected to the trampoline net by an elastic element (15) that stretches when the lock closes.

LINK BETWEEN A TRAMPOLINE AND A GYMNASTIC RECEPTION AREA

  1 For the training of sports gymnastics and in order to perform perilous tricks, the gymnasts jump on a trampoline embedded in the floor of the gymnasium and receive themselves further on a flexible, absorbing area called the landing pit. The connection between the pit and the trampoline is a wall, a rigid bar, or any other mechanical system allowing the springs of the trampoline to be hung on one side and the flexible members of the pit on the other. This link is then very dangerous in the case of a fall of the gymnast on this link. It is possible to make a connection composed of a chain or any other system in order to soften this area; the trampoline then loses its qualities of

  rebound, it is therefore less efficient.

  The object of this invention aims to eliminate all these drawbacks.

  The connection between the trampoline and the pit consists of a rigid "free" bar where the springs of the trampoline hang on one side and the flexible tension members of the receiving pit on the other. This bar has the particularity of being in pressure in the upward direction on a telescopic leg having a vertical force from bottom to top greater than the weight of the receiving area and the bar and, this said bar is stabilized by a flexible but non-stretching support such as rope, chains, cables ... When the gymnast is in the air, the telescopic leg system remains unlocked; there is no risk of the gymnast being injured on the bar as the bar goes down. This bar is locked by the telescopic leg lock which engages with each contact of the gymnast on the canvas of the trampoline: the bar is hard and can no longer descend; the trampoline then offers all of these

rebound qualities.

  Fig. 1 shows the schematic and simplified operating principle. Part 1 is the flexible mattress that covers the mechanical parts to ensure safety and comfort during falls. The element 2 represents the canvas of the trampoline, the 3 represents the 25 springs of the trampoline, the 4, the springs or the bungee cords or any other elastic member of the reception area. The net 5 of the reception area, the connecting bar 6: all these members are at ground level. Only the mattress 1 and the protections of the trampoline springs (not shown for a better understanding of the figure) protrude from the ground S by their thickness (in the case of a raised pit, the ground level will be a podium). 30 The pivot 8 connects the bar 6 and the slide 9. The latter being pushed by a gas spring, an elastic band or a compression spring 10. The support for the slide 1 1 comprises the pivot 12 of the latch 13 and the fastener of the return spring 14. An adjustment 35 of the elastic 15 adjusts the opening of the lock in the "open" position. The return spring 14, very flexible, only serves to keep the lock open, the movement of point 16 at 16 'immediately activates the closure of lock 13. If the gymnast jumps very hard on the canvas 2 of the trampoline, the movement of 16 at 16 ′ being more important than the closing movement of the lock, the elastic band 15 elongates so as not to damage the lock 13 in the notched position 40. In addition, the movement from 16 to 16 'being very important, it is the elastic band 15 which absorbs this displacement while retaining the adjustment of the latch in the open position when it

  Description of the operation: when a gymnast jumps on the canvas 2 of the trampoline, he pushes the latter (arrow A), lengthens the springs 3 and, the elastic 15 lengthens after having closed the bolt 13 by pulling on point 20 of the latch 13 and notches the slide 8 thanks to the notch C, the stop in the notch therefore prevents the slide 8 from going down (description in dotted lines). As soon as the gymnast is in the air, the latch 13 releases the notch of the slide 8. If the gymnast falls at the location of the bar 6, the latter, free, descends and

absorbed the shock.

  Fig. 2 shows the 3D installation of the assembly (bar, cylinder and its holding elements

  without the mattress and protections) corresponding to an actual installation. The bar 6 is stabilized by a set of flexible holding members but which does not lengthen.

  The telescopic leg keeps the bar 6 in vertical pressure at its middle, in this case, thanks to elastic bands and its return system so that the slide 8 can, during a fall

  of a gymnast on bar 6, have optimal penetration.

  The flexible members 19 and 19 'serve to maintain the bar 6 at ground level and horizontally. The flexible members 17 and 17 'serve to hold the bar 6 in the lateral direction so that it remains well centered. The elements 18 and 18 'hold the bar 6 in the longitudinal direction in order to respect the rebound qualities of the trampoline during its

  use. The bar 6 is therefore free only in the bottom direction.

  1 1- Connection between trampoline and receiving pit for the training of sports gymnastics characterized in that it is composed of a bar 6 held horizontally, in height, laterally and longitudinally by flexible members but which do not lengthen not.
