Abstract

The lock for an electric catch has a housing (2) with a half turn stop (3) actuated by a spring (4) to engage the catch. A cross bar sleeve (5) is actuated by a handle and engages with the half turn stop to take a retracted position. The lock has a bolt (6) which selectively prevents rotation of the handle. The main bolt carries a second bolt which has a neutral position in which the lock is inoperable and a second position in which it is active.

  The invention relates to a lock, in particular for an electric strike. Conventionally, a lock comprises a chest housing a half-turn intended to come into engagement with a strike, a nut which, driven in rotation by a handle, makes it possible to move the half turn to a retracted position and a means

for locking the lock.

  The follower is a rotating guided part engaging with a stop

that presents the U-turn.

  The U-turn is biased towards its closed position by a spring.

  On known locks, the follower therefore drives the U-turn backwards but very often does not participate in bringing the U-turn forward, this task

  being produced by the aforementioned spring.

  1 5 For locking this type of lock, an independent latch bolt is often used, but, more simply, it is also known to

  lock the rotation of the follower and therefore the operating handle.

  This is of particular interest when the lock is used with a

electric strike.

  Even if it is impossible to operate the follower, the door can be opened with the electric strike and the fact that the U-turn can be urged towards the retracted position by exerting a force on the free end of the U-turn ,

  the door can close normally when it folds towards the electric strike.

  For this rotational locking, a movable lock is used in

  translation which comes in particular engaged with the follower.

Different solutions exist.

  It is understandable that such a technical solution is not of interest for an opening having no electric strike in the sense that the U-turn can be pushed back by an action on its free end, there is a risk

  door opened by a malicious person.

  For this reason, either we prefer to use an additional bolt mounted

  parallel to the U-turn, or the half-turn is immobilized in translation.

  -2 For example, a lock engages behind the U-turn and prevents it

be pushed back.

  This second solution then requires changing the lock when you wish

put an electric strike.

  The invention proposes to provide a solution. To this end, the subject of the invention is a lock in particular for an electric strike comprising, housed in a trunk: - a half-turn urged by a spring to come into engagement with a strike, - a follower which, driven in rotation by a handle, is engaged with the 1 0 U-turn to bring it to a retracted position and - a bolt for locking the lock which, by translation, comes to block the rotation of the follower, this lock being characterized in that the bolt lock carries an additional lock movable between two positions: 1 5 - a first position called neutral according to which the lock is always inoperative and a second position called active o, when the locking bolt is active, this lock engages with the half turn and lock it in translation at

  less in the direction of the retracted position.

  The invention will be better understood with the aid of the description below made by way of

  of nonlimiting example with reference to the appended drawing which schematically represents: FIG. 1 a lock according to the invention in the unlocked position, FIGS. 2 and 3: a lock according to the invention in the locked position,

  Referring to the drawing, we see a lock 1 intended in particular for a

electric strike.

  Conventionally, this lock comprises, housed in a trunk 2 - a half turn 3 biased by a spring 4 to engage with a strike, - a nut 5 which, driven in rotation by a handle, is engaged with the U-turn for bring it to a retracted position and -3 - a bolt 6 for locking the lock which, in particular by translation,

  blocks the rotation of the follower.

  More specifically, it is a surface mounted lock.

  As can be seen, the follower 5 is applied to a stop 3A facing the front of the U-turn carried by said U-turn so that it can pass it towards

the retracted position.

  In the other direction, it is exclusively the spring which allows the

  U-turn, the follower not participating in the movement.

  The locking bolt 6 is presented by a guided part, in particular in

l 0 translation.

  The locking bolt could however move otherwise.

  This bolt is constituted by a stop 6A coming to engage behind an arm

  radial that the follower presents, thus preventing rotation.

  The displacement of the locking bolt 6 is obtained by displacement of the

  1 5 paneton of a key or a barrel.

  We simply included the location of the barrel.

  Remarkably, the locking bolt carries an additional lock movable between two positions: - a first so-called neutral position (Figure 3) in which the lock 7 is still inoperative and - a second so-called active position (Figure 2) o, when the locking bolt 6 is active, this bolt 7 engages the U-turn and the

  locks in translation at least in the direction of the retracted position.

  Preferably, this lock 7 immobilizes the U-turn in both directions.

  For example, the lock engages in a groove 8 that has the half turn.

  In an alternative embodiment, the trunk has a slot 9 for engaging a tool allowing it to move the lock between its two from the outside.

  In the example shown, the light is located at the back of the trunk and the lock

  is a plate guided in translation and immobilized by a screw.

  -4 For reasons, in particular, of concealment of this light, the displacement of the lock between its two positions is done by immobilization of the lock

  and moving the locking bolt.

  The bolt is positioned in the unlocked position so that the screw 10 is opposite the light. We unscrew the screw at least partially and the lock is then free in

  translation, the screw remaining engaged with the latch alone.

  We operate the locking bolt to block the follower and we screw the screw in a thread located below so that the lock no longer comes into engagement

with the U-turn.

  The reverse operation will be done to make the lock operate.

  On the basis of this principle, a person skilled in the art will know how to make the arrangements for implementing this invention according to the different configurations of

existing lock.

Lock in particular for an electric strike comprising, housed in a trunk (2) - a half-turn (3) biased by a spring (4) to engage with a strike, - a follower (5) which, driven in rotation by a handle, is engaged with the U-turn to bring it towards a retracted position and - a bolt (6) for locking the lock which, in particular by translation, comes to block the rotation of the follower, this lock being CHARACTERIZED by that the locking bolt carries an additional lock which can be moved between two positions: - a first so-called neutral position according to which the lock (7) is always inoperative and - a second so-called active position o, when the locking bolt (6) is 1 5 active, this lock (7) engages with the U-turn and locks it in   translation at least in the direction of the retracted position.   2. Lock according to claim 1 characterized in that the lock (7) immobilizes the turn around in both directions.   3. Lock according to claim 2 characterized in that the lock (7) engages   in a groove (8) presented by the U-turn.   4. Lock according to claim 1 characterized in that the trunk has a light (9) for engaging a tool for moving from the outside the   lock between its two positions without opening said trunk.   5. Lock according to claim 4 characterized in that the light (9) is located the back of the trunk.   6. Lock according to claim 1 characterized in that the lock is a plate   guided in translation and immobilized by a screw.
