Abstract

The extending support for a table has a rectangular lower frame (2) and an upper rectangular frame (4). The table has two opposed beams (7) each connected by a pivot to each end of the lower ends and connected by a sliding coupling on the upper frame.   As can be seen in FIG. 1, the support device comprises a lower rectangular frame 2 connected to the base 3 of a table and

  a rectangular upper frame 4 connected to the plate 5 of this table.

  Referring to Figure 2, it appears that two uprights 7, in

  opposite, connect the upper frame 4 to the lower frame 5.

  These two uprights 7 wind articulated at the ends of the lengths of the lower frame. Check amount 7 is made up of two columns 8. These columns 8 are connected at their lower ends by a cross member 9 and at their upper ends by a bar

transverse 10.

  On the side of the lower frame 2, the uprights 7 are articulated by

  In addition, it can be seen in the figures that two springs 18 extend between a plate 20 secured to the lower frame 2 and two plates 21 extending on either side of the longitudinal bar 16 connecting the

  In addition, it can be seen that a diagonal bar 22 joins the upper frame 4 to the end of a welded paste 24 on the crosspiece 9 of the opposite amount 7. The diagonal bar 22 thus ensures guidance of the upper frame 4

relative to the lower frame 2.

  As shown in Figure 2, in this configuration, the uprights 7 vertical wind and therefore keep the upper frame 4 at a distance

  of the lower frame 2. The diagonal bar 22 is then in an oblique position.

  When a user wishes to fold the device, he enters the

  handle 26 and exerts a force on it.

  The amount 7 then pivots relative to its lower end.

  The upper end of the upright 7 slides, meanwhile, in the slides 12

  housed in each of the lengths of the upper frame.

  Simultaneously, the other upright 7, due to the connection produced by the longitudinal bar 16, also pivots relative to its

  Figure 5 illustrates the device being folded. The synchronization of the rotational movements of the uprights 7 by the longitudinal bar 16 and the action of the diagonal bar ensures displacement of the upper frame 4 towards the lower frame 2 while at all times maintaining the

parallelism between these.

  Figure 6 shows the support device at the end of the folding movement. s As can be seen in Figure 7, which shows a front view of the support device in the folded position, it is in this extremely compact position. Indeed, its thickness does not exceed that of the lower frame 2 to which is added the length of the paste 24 on which is

hinged the diagonal bar 22.

  It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the form of

  realization described above by way of nonlimiting example.

  Thus, if in the embodiment described in the drawing, the lower frame is connected to the base 3 of a table and the upper frame supports a table top 5, other means of connection to other parts of furniture

Support device, in particular for a table, characterized in that it comprises: - a quadrangular lower frame (2), - a quadrangular upper frame (4), - two uprights (7) facing each other relic by a pivot connection, at each end of the lower frame and relic by a sliding connection to the upper frame, the pivoting of the uprights (7) towards each other causing the approximation of the upper frame (4) to the lower frame (2) parallel to each other.   2. Support device according to claim 1, characterized in that each of the uprights (7) comprises two columns (8) connected at their lower ends by a cross member (9) and at their upper ends by a transverse bar (10) of which the extremities engage in   slides (12) formed in the longitudinal dimensions of the upper frame (4).   3. Support device according to claim 2, characterized in that the sleepers (9) each have a connecting rod (15) whose ends   wind connected to a longitudinal bar (16).   4. Device according to claim 1 or claim 2 or 3, characterized in that a diagonal bar (22) joins one of the ends of the upper frame (4) at the end of a radial paste (24) s extending since opposite crosspiece (9).   5. Device according to one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that   that one of the crosspieces of an upright (7) is fitted with a handle (26)   allowing the rotation of an amount.   6. Device according to one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that   that at least one spring (18) connects the longitudinal bar (16) to the frame lower (2).   7. Device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that   that the lower frame (2) and the upper frame (4) are provided with means for connection to elements of a piece of furniture.   8.
