Abstract

The container for a roller shutter housing (1) or similar consists of an outer protective layer (15) of cardboard or other material having dimensions greater than that of the housing and equipped with inner supports (17) that hold the housing in a central position and are sufficiently elastic to permit a relative three-dimensional movement between the housing and container in the event of an impact. The supports have fastenings for the side members of the shutter housing that hold the rolled shutter in place, each support having a bar (19) that engages with the housing through a slot (12) in its lower edge and extends vertically inside it perpendicular to the container's lengthwise axis. Each support also has a fixing member (21) for the inside of the container and a connecting piece (22), made from folded sheet metal.

 The invention relates to a packaging for a roller shutter box or the like, comprising an outer protective envelope made of cardboard or the like.

 The present invention relates, in particular, to the field of packaging.

 Usually, the trunk of a roller shutter box serving as a housing for an apron in the rolled up state and, of course, for the whole of the latter's drive mechanism, consists of walls made of folded sheets or of material synthetic extruded. It also has lateral protective covers which close it at its ends and which, here again, are of the metallic or synthetic type.

 These roller shutter boxes are, for their storage and transport, arranged in packages having the function, in particular, of protecting them from the shocks that they are usually brought to undergo during their handling.

 In this regard, through the deck coil they contain, they represent a certain weight. Also, in the event of a fall resulting from awkward handling or occurring during transport, they are brought to undergo significant mechanical stresses which the walls of the trunk cannot accept, whether these walls are made of sheet metal or of plastic. Furthermore, during such falls from a roller shutter box, it is not uncommon for the internal components and, in particular, the deck coil to move relatively to the walls of the boot. In fact, through such a displacement the side covers are liable, in turn, to be knocked out.

 We have already sought to further protect these roller shutter boxes from such impacts by oversizing its packaging so as to preserve, between the envelope constituting the latter and the walls of the trunk, a space that we just fill with damping elements, for example, blocks or particles of polystyrene foam or blocks in cartons.

 Insofar as it is somewhat difficult to guarantee the centering of a roller shutter box in such a packaging by means of polystyrene particles and that this solution requires

 more attention from an operator, therefore generates greater packaging time, blocks made of polystyrene foam or cardboard are more frequently used.

 However, despite the absorbent power that such blocks have in the event of an impact, they have the effect of passing on the latter locally at the level of the box, so that, despite these precautions, it is not uncommon for the fall of a packaged roller shutter box causes its sheet metal walls to deform or break when they are made of synthetic material.

 Furthermore, they perfectly immobilize the roller shutter box inside the packaging so that in the event of an impact, apart from the tiny part absorbed through the damping nature of these blocks, the kinetic energy is fully transmitted to the deck coil and must be absorbed through the connection between the supporting cheeks holding this coil and the walls of the box. Consequently, the risk of a relative displacement of these elements persists.

 The present invention is intended to respond to the aforementioned problems with a view to guaranteeing better protection of the packaged rolling shutter box, this by suspending it in its packaging, by means of support means of suitable elastic nature.

 Another objective of the present invention consists in also giving the envelope of this packaging an elastic character.

Thus, it is capable of absorbing certain shocks without systematically deforming it permanently.

 To this end, the invention relates to a packaging for a roller shutter box or the like, comprising an outer protective envelope made of cardboard or the like, characterized in that said envelope is defined as a dimension greater than said box and receives, internally, means supports on which is provided capable of being mounted the latter in a centered manner, these support means being further provided of an elastic nature to allow, in the event of an impact, a three-dimensional relative mobility of said box in the packaging.

 The advantages which result from the present invention consist in that the box, no longer immobilized in the packaging but suspended with relative mobility inside the latter, is not directly reflected in the efforts resulting from a shock.

 Note, moreover, that through the support means the forces can be transmitted to well determined components of this casing of the roller shutter.

 In particular, the support means comprise means for fixing to the support cheeks holding, on either side and internally in the box, the deck coil.

 Consequently, these efforts to which reference was made above are taken up by these support cheeks constituting the most solid parts of a casing of the rolling shutter.

 Other objects and advantages of the present invention will emerge during the description which follows, relating to an embodiment given by way of indicative and nonlimiting example.

 The understanding of this description will be facilitated by referring to the attached drawing, in which: FIG. 1 is a diagrammatic and perspective representation of a roller shutter box; Figure 2 is a schematic representation in cross section of the packaging according to the invention; Figure 3 is a schematic representation in elevation of this packaging illustrating, internally, the support means on which is mounted the casing of the shutter; Figure 4 is a schematic representation of the attachment elements associated with the support means, these elements being from a metal plate cut and folded.

 It is particularly shown in Figure 1 of the accompanying drawing, a box 1 of rolling shutter which, in the usual way, consists of a chest 2 serving as a housing for an apron 3 wound in the form of a coil 4. In this regard, this one

 is held on both sides, inside the trunk 2, by support cheeks 5,6.

 Obviously inside this box 1 are also located, drive means provided capable of ensuring the deployment and folding of the deck 3. These drive means can be manual or motorized. In this regard, it is visible in Figure 2 the rod of a winch extending under the housing 1 and on which can be connected a crank.

 To return to the trunk 2, it can be designed by the assembly of walls 8, 9, 10, 11, of metallic or plastic type. Note that at the level of the wall 11 corresponding to the underside of this box 2, a longitudinal slot 12 is provided for the passage of the deck 3. In fact, under this slot and on either side of the box 1 will extend later, the lateral slides ensuring the guidance of the ends of the blades making up the deck, this during the deployment and folding phases of the latter.

 Furthermore, this trunk 2 is closed on either side at its ends by side covers 13 made integral with the walls 8, 9, 10, 11 and / or the internal support cheeks 5, 6.

 In the end, the invention relates, very particularly, to a package 14 for such a roller shutter box 1, which package 14 comprises an external protective envelope 15, in particular made of cardboard. Thus, this envelope 15 is of parallelepipedic section, in adequacy with the section of the box 1 while being of larger dimension so as to be able to preserve a peripheral space 16 between this box 1 and the walls of the envelope 15.

 According to the invention, this packaging 14 comprises, internally, support means 17 on which is provided capable of being mounted the box 1, preferably in a manner substantially centered relative to the envelope 15.

 More particularly, these support means 17 are provided of an elastic nature to allow relative three-dimensional mobility of the box 1 in the packaging 14. Thus, in the event of the packaging 14 falling, the shock is not passed on, so

 direct, on the box 1. This results in a progressive absorption of the kinetic energy by the box at the moment of impact.

 More particularly, said support means 17 comprise hooking elements 18 on which can be hung, then secured the box 1. These elements 18 have a fixing lug 19 on which the box 1 can be engaged, through its slot 12 at its underside, tab 19 provided capable of cooperating with a support cheek 5; 6.

 Consequently, the box 1 is no longer held in the packaging 14 through its trunk 2, but by said support cheeks 5, 6, now, at its ends, the coil 4 of the deck 3.

 Said fixing lug 19 extends, inside the packaging 14, vertically and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 20 of the envelope 15, this from a fixing gusset 21 made integral, in particular through a connecting lug 22, a support bracket 23 taking position in the packaging 14, in a lower corner of its envelope 15.

 A hooking element 18, therefore the fixing gusset 21, the fixing lug 19 which extends it, as well as its connecting lug 22, results, preferably, from the cutting and bending of a metallic dish, chosen to be of elastic nature so as to fulfill the function of supporting the shutter box assigned to it.

 It is obvious that these fastening elements 18 can also be designed, made of synthetic material, possibly reinforced, and having the desired elasticity.

 As for the support bracket 23, itself preferably made of metal, it comprises a horizontal wing 25 and a vertical wing 26, against the latter being more particularly attached a hooking element 18. The elastic nature of the support means 17 in a direction vertical results more particularly from the elasticity of these support brackets 23.

 Advantageously, this horizontal wing 25 and the horizontal wing 26 of the support bracket 23 meet, in the angle of the latter, through a rounded sector 27 increasing the

 range of elastic deformation capable of being imparted to said bracket 23.

 Preferably, these horizontal 25 and vertical 26 wings are further defined with a length equal to the internal sides 28 of the casing 15 of the bottom 29 and of one of the vertical walls 30 extending from the latter.

 Furthermore, the vertical wing 26 has, at its free end 31, a square return 32 parallel to the horizontal wing 25.

Above this return 32 is folded one of the longitudinal edges 33 extending the vertical wall 30 corresponding to the envelope 15 and against which said vertical wing 26 of the support bracket 23 bears.

 In addition, under this return 32 is provided capable of being slid the upper horizontal wall 34, forming a cover, of this envelope 15, this after having introduced a box 1 therein.

 The packaging 1 is kept closed using straps 35, preferably positioned around the envelope 15 at the height of said support means 17.

 If, as visible in FIG. 4, the packaging 1, in particular its envelope 15, is oversized in section, relative to that of the box 1, its length is also chosen to be greater than the latter to protect the latter on its sides side.

 As is apparent from the above description, the packaging, in accordance with the invention, not only guarantees better protection of the roller shutter box that it is required to contain, but also presents a reduced cost price. , not to mention that it significantly decreases the time required to pack such a roller shutter box.

 In this regard, a box 1 can be engaged on the support means 17 or, precisely, this box 1 can be equipped with these directly at the assembly outlet, the envelope 15 of the packaging 14 being post-formed around this box 1, more particularly around its support means 17.

 As for their connection with the supporting cheeks 5,6, it will be noted that it is already customary to provide at the level of

 the latter, in alignment with the outlet slot 12 of the apron 3, means for receiving a connecting lug provided capable of being inserted in an appropriate housing in a lateral slide extending under said slot 12. Consequently, the fixing lug 19 of a fastening element 18 can be shaped in a similar manner to such a connecting lug, therefore to the means for receiving the latter that the supporting cheeks 5, 6 comprise.

 In short, the packaging according to the invention does not require any modification or adaptation at the level of the roller shutter box. This already includes the means suitable for such packaging.

 Although the invention has been described with reference to a particular embodiment, it is understood that it is in no way limited thereto and that it is possible to make various modifications to the forms, materials and combinations of these. various elements without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention.

Claims (9)

claims 1. Packaging for a casing (1) for a rolling shutter or the like, comprising an outer protective casing (15) made of cardboard or the like, characterized in that said casing (15) is defined as being larger than said casing (1) and receives internally, support means (17) on which is provided capable of being mounted the latter, in a substantially centered manner, these support means (17) being further provided of an elastic nature to allow, in the event of an impact, a three-dimensional relative mobility of said box (1) in the packaging (14).  2. Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that the support means (17) comprise means for fixing to the support cheeks (5,6) now, on either side and internally in the box (1), a coil (4) of an apron (3) housed in said box (1).  3. Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support means (17) comprise hooking elements (18) on which can be hung, then secured, the box (1).  4. Packaging according to claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the hooking elements (18) comprise a fixing lug (19) on which can be engaged the box (1) through a slot (12) at the underside of its trunk (2), said fixing lug (19) being provided capable of cooperating with a support cheek (5,6).  5. Packaging according to claim 4, characterized in that the fixing lug (19) extends, internally to the packaging (14), vertically and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (20) of the envelope (15 ), this from a fixing gusset (21) made integral, in particular through a connecting tab (22), of a support bracket (23) taking position in the packaging (14), in a lower angle of its envelope (15).  6. Packaging according to claim 5, characterized in that the hooking element (18), therefore the fixing gusset (21), the fixing lug (19) and the connecting lug (22), results from <Desc / Clms Page number 9>  cutting and folding of an elastic metal plate, chosen so as to fulfill the function of the box support (1).  7. Packaging according to claim 5, characterized in that the support bracket (23) comprises a horizontal wing (25) and a vertical wing (26), against the latter being attached the fastening element (18), said bracket (3) itself being defined of an elastic nature, more particularly of metal.  8. Packaging according to claim 7, characterized in that the horizontal (25) and vertical (26) wings of the support bracket (23) are defined with a length equal to the internal sides (28) of the envelope (15) from the bottom (29) and from one of the vertical walls (30) of the latter, said vertical wing (26) comprising, at its free end (31), a square return (32) parallel to the horizontal wing ( 25).  9. Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is kept closed using straps (35) positioned around the envelope (15) at the height of said support means (17).
