Abstract

The roof retainer consists of a rectangular frame (A) of unequal angle steel bars, equipped with two handles (H) and vertical tubes (B). The tubes fit over rods (C) joined to brackets (D) fastened with screws to the body of the hive. Each bracket has a projecting threaded rod for a spacer tube (F) and a nut (G) holding the rod (C) in place. The tubes (B) allow the frame to be fitted in the required position on the hive roof, allowing room for supers, and are fixed in place by screws (E).

Il s'agit d'un système réglable en hauteur depuis le corps de la ruche jusqu'au rajout de chaque rehausse. Il comporte selon une première caractéristique, un cadre rectangulaire qui possède sur la largeur une poignée soudée au centre, de chaque côté, ainsi que deux tubes creux soudés, eux, sur chaque autre côté du cadre. Ces deux tubes, pourvus chacun d'un papillon fileté, permettent à deux fers pleins, qui possèdent chacun une entretoise soudée coulissant sur l'axe d'une platine, fixée de part et d'autre du corps de la ruche, de coulisser en hauteur. Un écrou permet de maintenir les entretoises sur l'axe de la platine. Le dispositif reste ainsi fixé au bas de la ruche et peut être poussé vers l'arrière lors de l'ouverture de celle-ci.
