Description

The invention relates to a printing blanket of the type comprising an outer lithographic layer, a layer made of a compressible material and, on the back, a layer of fabric, in particular with cotton warp yarns.

In blankets of this which are known, fabrics of twisted cotton warp yarns, washed and pre-stretched in the wet state are used. Since the fixation of the fabric can only be achieved by water vapor, the pre-stretching treatment remains stable only if the fabric is not re-moistened with water vapor.

This fact forbids any traditional treatment of textile finishing, including printing with colors scattered or dissolved in it or scattered in white spirit and water.

Therefore, blanket printouts, for example for decorative, marketing or advertising purposes, must be performed according to specific methods. It is possible to print such patterns by inkjet.
