Description

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a mattress base, able to fit and maintain in an ideal position, the anatomical profile of each individual, during sleep, and especially that of the lumbar region, which if not respected, one of the main causes of pain in the eye, or simply discomfort during sleep.

The vast majority of the current bed bases are composed of slats which, by their design, can not have a great range of movement with respect to each other, and therefore do not allow to marry very precisely the anatomical profile of the user. On the other hand, on recent mattress-sommier models, which ensure this great amplitude of movement, the lateral instability of the slats is too important, to ensure proper operation and hold over time.

The mattress-bed according to the invention overcomes these disadvantages.

I1 is indeed composed according to a first feature that a set of slats, each capable of a large range of vertical movement, and stabilized laterally, thanks to two crossed tensioners, fixed on each of them. Above these slats is placed a block of thin foam, about 7cm, acting as a mattress itself.

Figure 7 shows the top view of the amount. Referring to these drawings, the mattress-sommier is com pos a set of slats (1), each supported by two amounts of foam (2), and two biconical springs (3). The lateral stability is provided by two tensioners (4), one avoiding the latte (1) to leave, under load, to the left, the other avoiding it to go to the right.

The fixing of the biconical springs (3) on the slats (1) is ensured by staples (5). The tensioners (4) can be simply attached to the springs (3), or attached to the slats (1), at the same time as the springs (3), by stapling. In this case, their ends, will be provided with a knot or a ball.

Each end of batten (1) is glued over the entire thickness of the amount of foam (2), on which are practiced notches (6), corresponding to the thickness and spacing of said slats (1). The small thickness of these uprights (2), about 7cm, guarantees, despite the springs (3), the flexibility together.

Above the slats (1) and the foam uprights (2), which make up the bed base itself, is placed, as a mattress, a block of foam (7), of small thickness, to slide freely on the slats (1). All this assembly is covered with a resilient ticking (8), making part sommier and mattress part solidaire.

In a second version, the mattress and the mattress are independent: In this case, the springs (3), and the two foam mants (2), are respectively stapled and glued, on a rigid support (9), fig: 4.

Thus, at the time of use, each slat (1), is positioned in height, according to the anatomical profile of the sleeper, while ensuring effective maintenance, thanks to the biconical springs (3). The foam block (7), placed freely above the slats (1), follows the movement thereof without any stretching constraint.
