Abstract

The device is composed of two V-shaped base cut-outs made on the covering at the level of the ears (A,B). To these cut-outs may be added cut-outs which leave the base cut-out to be applied under the edge of the ear (A). The device is placed so as to support the intersection of the cut-outs against the point of the ear (B) just under the end of the closing weld (D).

Description

The present invention relates to collapsible envelopes for grouping and

  of transport for brick-type packaging whose principle of upper closure reveals

  prominences commonly called ears.

  The appended drawings, FIGS. 1 to 9, illustrate this field: _ FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 show examples of packaging of the brick type concerned by the invention and on which the ears are marked A. _ FIGS. 4, 5 and 6 show the chronology of an example of final folding of the

  top closure of brick packaging concerned by the invention.

  _ Figure 7 shows the detail of an ear resulting from a folding in accordance with the chronology of Figures 4, 5 and 6 with mark A at the ear, mark B the tip of the ear, mark C the closing weld, mark D at one end of the closing weld

and mark E the body of the brick.

  _ Figures 8 and 9 show examples of traditional grouping and transport devices for brick-type packaging. In these figures, the bricks are

  represented in fine lines and the envelope in strong lines.

  The brick packaging, by its angular shape, not very rigid and its flat and flexible surfaces, was until then difficult to retain within a grouping envelope such as those used for bottles and other non-parallelepipedic objects. These envelopes generally having a top wall, a bottom wall and only two side walls, it was necessary until then: _ Either perform a strong tightening of the envelope around the bricks, thus risking a deterioration of the integrity of the packaging by excessive tightening, or conversely, a random retention of the packaging in the envelope because the dimensions of the brick are

  changing due to its relative flexibility.

  _ Either increase the development of the envelope, to integrate two side walls or

  portions of complementary side walls.

  _ Either deposit an adhesive between the brick and the envelope, to prevent the exit of the brick relative to the envelope, which has only two side walls. This adhesive degrades the

  more often and at least visually the integrity of the brick packaging.

  The principle of the hanging device is based on: _ A specific cutout of the bricks grouping envelope at the level of the

  ears in contact with the envelope and for which a restraint point is requested.

  _ A suitable implementation process.

  -2- The basic cut has the shape of a V partially reproducing the outline of the ear of the brick without the closing weld. This form is completed or not by others

  cuts for aesthetic or functional reasons.

  The appended drawings, FIGS. 10 to 15 give some examples thereof. FIG. 10 represents the basic cutouts, marked F and G. The brick is represented in superimposition by fine lines and the cut of the envelope in strong lines.

  This form of cutting is used in the grouping example in Figures 22 and 24.

  _ Figure 11 illustrates additional cutouts marked H intended, for example, to reorient the possible incipient fractures, when the edge of the envelope is close to the basic cutouts marked F and G. This cutout is used in the example of

grouping figure 28.

  _ Figure 12 illustrates a complete cut revealing most of the ear. This form of cutting is used in the grouping example in FIG. 29 _ FIG. 13 illustrates an additional cutting marked J intended after folding to reveal part of the device for opening the brick. This form of cutting

  is used in the grouping example in Figures 21 and 23.

  _ Figure 14 illustrates a basic cut supplemented by a cut marked K allowing locking of the movement of the brick relative to the cut in the X direction through the insertion of the stop F under the edge of the ear. This form of cutting is

  used in the grouping example in figures 26 and 28.

  _ Figure 15 illustrates a basic cut completed by the locking cut K and by shifting the edge F into L. This principle is used for bricks whose folding, and therefore the positioning of the ear, is imprecise . Indeed, thanks to this offset L, the locking of the brick relative to the envelope, in the X direction, is guaranteed even if the ear has a maximum positioning defect equal to the value of the offset between F and L. This form of cutting is used in the examples of envelopes in Figures 27 and 32. The positioning process can be broken down and stated as follows: _ Bringing the brick into contact with the envelope with alignment in the direction Z of the tip of the ear of brick B and the intersection of cuts F and G. Figure 16 illustrates this state. The brick is shown in thin lines and the envelope cut in strong lines. _ Relative displacement of the envelope and the brick. The envelope moves relative to the brick in the Z direction. Figure 17 illustrates this displacement in comparison with the

figure 16.

  -3- _ During the movement, the envelope is kept in abutment against the brick, mainly around and under the tip of the ear, and under the end of the closing weld of the brick. Thus, the end of the closing weld is introduced through the passage of the cutout G. The tip of the ear is marked B in FIGS. 7 and 16, the end of the closing weld is marked D in the figures. 7, 16 and 18. This area

  preferred support is symbolized by the hatched outline marked M in Figure 18.

  _ At the end of the movement, the point formed by the cutouts F and G comes into abutment under the end of the brick closing weld, against the point of the ear and the

  cutout F fits under the end of the edge of the ear. Figure 19 illustrates this state.

  _ The final folding of the envelope, as illustrated in the example in Figure 20, prevents

  then any inverse relative movement. The brick is immobilized relative to the envelope.

  At this stage of the description, it is important to note that the hanging device

  and more particularly the intersection of the cuts F and G is positioned:

  _ Just under the end of the brick closing weld.

  _ In support against the tip of the ear and not in support between the tip of the ear and

the body of the brick.

  Indeed, after positioning the device, it should be noted that: _ In FIG. 14, 15 and 20, point P, end of the cutout G, is at a minimum level in the direction Y of +2 thicknesses of material brick packaging and this by

  relation to the zero level which is the body of the brick.

  _ In figure 14, 15 and 20, the point N, intersection of the cutout G and the upper edge of the brick closing weld, is at a level in the Y direction of +4 thicknesses of packaging material brick and this compared to level zero which is the body

brick.

  Consequently, the point Q, intersection of the cutout G and of the lower edge of the closing weld finds itself in abutment against the underside of the end of the closing weld. By prolongation of the point Q, the intersection of the cutouts F and G therefore finds himself resting against the end of the tip of the ear mark B, and therefore cannot bear

  on bonding or welding the ear and the body of the brick.

  Because of this and the fact that the cuts F and G do not extend to the corners of the brick, marked S and T in FIGS. 14, 15 and 20, the device cannot in any case force the

  detachment of the ears from the body of the brick.

  -4- Thanks to this device, it is therefore possible to group and transport bricks with upper closure and ears using an envelope which would have only 4 side walls and one or more top walls and without the help of external components

  such as an adhesive or any other complementary device.

  FIG. 21 shows an example of this type of grouping with a carrying handle. FIG. 23 represents the cutting plane of the envelope associated with this grouping. In FIG. 23, the cutting lines are shown in strong lines, the folding lines in dotted lines and the areas of gluing of the envelope for gluing on

  itself in cross hatching and fine lines.

  FIG. 22 shows an example of this type of grouping with a carrying handle. FIG. 24 represents the cutting plane of the envelope associated with this grouping. In FIG. 24, the cutting lines are represented in strong lines, the folding lines in dotted lines and the areas of gluing of the envelope for gluing on

  itself in cross hatching and fine lines.

  The appended drawings FIGS. 25 to 32 illustrate the use of the device through

  examples of grouping achievements.

  In FIGS. 25, 26, 29 and 30, the bricks are shown in thin lines and the envelope in strong lines. In FIGS. 27, 28, 31 and 32, the cutting lines are shown in strong lines, the folding lines in dotted lines and the gluing zones

  of the envelope for collage on itself in cross hatching and fine lines.

  _ Figure 25 shows an example of grouping with carrying handle. The

  FIG. 27 represents the cutting plane of the envelope associated with this grouping.

  _ Figure 26 shows an example of grouping with transport handle for bricks with base and square top and octagonal intermediate section, arranged in two horizontal rows. FIG. 28 represents the cutting plane of the associated envelope

to this regrouping.

  _ Figure 29 shows an example of grouping with a carrying handle for bricks arranged in two horizontal rows. Figure 31 shows the plane of

  cutting of the envelope associated with this grouping.

  _ Figure 30 shows an example of grouping with transport handle for bricks superimposed on two rows. Figure 32 shows the cutting plane of

  the envelope associated with this grouping.

Claims (2)

  1) Hanging device for retaining brick-type packaging, with upper closure and ears, inside a grouping and transport envelope and characterized by a particular cutout of the grouping envelope at the ears in contact with the envelope, cut made up of two basic cutouts (F) and 5 (G), not joined with the angles of the brick (S) and (T), and supplemented or not by additional cutouts (H), ( J), (K), (L), intended to optimize the device from a functional or aesthetic point of view depending on each application. 2) Device according to claim 1, characterized by a fitting process adapted so that the intersection of the main cutouts (F) and (G) join and take support   on the tip of the ear (B), while being housed under the end of the brick closing weld (D).
