  The present invention relates to a packaging which can be divided into two parts, of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard. The invention also relates to the use of such a packaging for the transport and display for sale of objects of substantially circular section, for example of cylindrical boxes comprising a body covered with a cover, in which

  is housed a cheese, including a camembert.

  It is to this application that we will refer more

  particularly in the remainder of this description,

  but it will be clear to those skilled in the art that the invention is not limited to this use and that it applies equally to the transport and to the exhibition for sale of other

circular objects.

  It is known that certain cheeses, in particular fermented soft cheeses such as camembert, have a consistency which changes during their fermentation and that once started, they tend to "run" on the trays which support them. This tendency manifests itself even when they have not yet been started, inside the boxes which contain them, so that, when these are laid out flat, the cheese tends to creep towards the periphery of the box and flatten in the central part of it We can remedy this drawback, during their display for sale, by making them rest perpendicular to the bottom of the box, according to one or

  several piles arranged on edge in parallel.

  The present invention aims to propose a packaging which is suitable for flat transport of objects with circular section, but which can be divided at the point of sale into two separate displays, in which these objects can be presented on edge to potential buyers. .

  The invention therefore also relates to the use of the packaging defined above for the transport of articles of circular section, in particular of cylindrical boxes in which is housed a cheese, in particular a camembert, these objects lying in parallel stacks. on the bottom part of the packaging, and, after dividing the packaging into two parts forming a display, for the display of these articles for sale, this use being characterized in that, for the display on sale, each part forming a display rests on its support by the first associated wall of the packaging, the articles being supported by their

  Two embodiments of the packaging according to the invention will be described below in more detail, by way of nonlimiting examples, with reference to the accompanying drawings. In these drawings: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a first package according to the invention; Figure 2 is a plan view of the corrugated cardboard blank, precut and repressed (pre-folded), from which the packaging of Figure 1 is derived; Figure 3 is a perspective view of one of the displays resulting from the division into two parts of this first display; Figures 4 to 6 are views corresponding to Figures 1 to 3, for a second packaging according to the invention.

  The packaging illustrated by these figures comprises a rectangular bottom part, 1, to which are adjoined by fold lines, along its longitudinal sides, two first walls 2, and along its transverse sides, two second walls 3 perpendicular to the previous ones. The walls 2 and 3 are erected

perpendicular to the bottom 1.

  Flaps 4 adjoining the ends of the walls 2 by a fold line perpendicular to the bottom 1 are applied against the internal face of the walls 3 and rendered

  integral with these, for example by bonding.

  Legs 6, adjoining the ends of the sidewalks 5 by fold lines parallel to the bottom, are folded against the flaps 4 and made integral with these, for example by gluing. It will be noted that, in this embodiment, in a manner known per se, flaps 7 and 8, adjoining flaps 4 and between them by fold lines perpendicular to the bottom, are folded so as to form a cross-section pillar triangular, the flap 8 coming to bear against the corresponding wall 2 and being made integral with the latter, for example by gluing.   When a buyer takes one or more boxes 11 from the display, there is however the risk that the other boxes roll on the wall 2. To remedy this drawback, in accordance with the invention, the parts of the walls 2 called to be in laterally in contact with the stacked boxes 11 are deformed by compression along strips 12 which follow the shape of the side walls

  boxes 11 and prevent them from rolling.

  Of course, instead of using two series of lines of initiation of rupture 9 and 10 and eliminating after tearing of these the bottom and lateral parts 3a which separate them, it would not go beyond the framework of the invention using a single line of rupture initiation dividing the

  bottom 1 and walls 3 in two equal portions.

  It will also be noted that two other lines of initiation of rupture 13, formed in the bottom 1, bring together in the embodiment shown, the ends of the lines 9 and make it possible to give a pleasant shape to the part 1b of the bottom remaining in the display shown in Figure 3. We could naturally remove these lines 13. Stacking studs 14 protrude at the top of the walls 2, above the sidewalks 5, while cutouts 15 are formed in the corresponding position in the bottom 1 and at the base of the walls 2, so as to be able to wedge in a stacked position the

  The embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 6, in which the members already described are designated by the same reference numbers, differs from that which has just been described only by constructive details. In particular, aeration cutouts 16 are provided in the bottom 1 of the packaging and are joined at the ends of the lines 9 of incipient fractures by

  other lines 17 of breaking points.

  Many other embodiments could naturally be designed by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the invention.
