Abstract

The sign displays numerals, each made up of a number of straight segments in a rectangular figure-8 configuration. Each segmet is in the form of a roller (10) set in a slot (12) in a panel (11). The roller has pointed ends and two opposite halves (20, 22) in light and dark colours which can be displayed through an opening (8) in a cover (4) to represent part of a numeral or a blank.
