Abstract

The fishing line reel carrier consists of a movable collar (1) provided with an adjusting screw (7) which fits tightly around the arms (4,5) of the reel carrier (3). By moving the collar in direction A, the arms holding the reel are slackened and in the direction B, they are re-tightened.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device for adjusting the thread tension in a spool holder and the spool holders equipped with the device according to the present invention.

 The reel holder is a tool used in particular by the assembler of artificial flies for whipping fishing, in which the assembler places the spool of thread that he uses. The wire necessary for the assembly of the fly being released by simple traction as needed.

 Until now, there is no reel holder having a true adjustment of the tension of the thread, the arms of the reel holder having a spacing and an elasticity determined in advance which it is not possible to modify easily during work: if the arms of the spool pinch tighten the spool too much, the thread hardly comes out of the spool pin, at the risk of breaking, while if they do not tighten the spool enough, the thread comes out unexpectedly at the slightest pull, preventing the reel holder from filling his officie well. In addition, with each change of reel, the problem of the correct tension of the thread arises, either that the thread is different, or that the reel does not have the same dimension as the previous one.

 The present invention seeks to solve this problem by helping to tighten or loosen at will the arms of the spool holder, thereby precisely regulating the tension of the thread leaving the spool holder.

 Figure 1 illustrates a coil holder (3) equipped with the device (1) according to the present invention.

 Figures 2, 3 and 4 each illustrate an embodiment, given by way of example, of the device (1) according to the present invention.

 FIG. 5 illustrates a reel holder (3) equipped with the device according to the present invention, the arms (4 and 5) of which are notched on their surface capable of being in contact with the ring (1).

 The device shown in Figure 1 in fact consists of a ring (1) which encloses the arms (4 and 5) of the coil holder (3), which has the effect of either sliding it along the arms (4 and 5) of the coil holder (3), either by acting on an adjustment screw (7) included, or by both means at the same time, increasing or decreasing the constant pressure that the ring (1) exerts on the arms (4 and 5) of the reel holder. The sliding of the ring (1) in direction A (figure 1) releases the pressure exerted by the ring (1) on the arms (4 and 5) of the coil holder (3) while in direction B (figure 1) , he tightens it. The pressing force is then determined by the positioning of the ring (1) along the arms (4 and 5) of the coil holder (3). The same result is obtained by screwing or unscrewing the adjusting screw (7) of the pressure exerted by the ring (1) on the arms (4 and 5) of the reel holder (3).

 The coil (6) trapped by the arms (4 and 5) of the coil holder (3) is thus more or less tight and therefore, its rotation on itself releasing the wire (2) is more or less facilitated, depending on the needs of the user of the reel holder (3).

 According to a preferred embodiment (Figure 2), the ring (1) according to the present invention is open so as to facilitate installation and (1) make it removable.

 This ring (1), whether closed or open, can be made of metal, for example by cutting and then folding with a press or plastic injected into a mold. The dimensions given to it depend on those of the reel holder concerned. For example, for that of FIG. 1, its length is 12 mm, its width 4 mm, its thickness 3 mm and it is cut from a brass 1 mm thick.

 Alternatively, the ring (1) according to the present invention is closed (Figure 3).

In this case, it must be inserted permanently during the manufacture of the reel holder of which it is an integral part.

 According to another variant (Figure 4), the ring (1), fixed or mobile, according to the present invention is provided with an adjustment screw (7) which facilitates the adjustment of the thread tension (2) while giving this adjustment a precision all the greater and micrometric as the pitch of the screw (7) is finer.

 According to another variant (FIG. 5), the arms (4 and 5) of the coil holder (3) have their external sides notched in the part in contact with the ring (1) to ensure better support by preventing it from slipping. , which would immediately change the thread tension (2) at the output of the spool holder (3).

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended for adjusting the tension of the thread of the reel holders used by the artificial fly assemblers for whipping fishing.

 1) Device for adjusting the thread tension (2) in a reel holder (3) for mounting artificial flies, characterized in that it consists of a ring (1) enclosing the arms (4 and 5) of the coil holder (3) by exerting constant pressure on them.  2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the ring (1) is movable along the arms (4 and 5) of the coil holder (3) by simple sliding, the pressure force being then determined by the positioning of the ring (1) along the arms (4 and 5) of the spool holder (3).  3) Device according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterized in that the ring (1) is provided with a screw (7) for adjusting the pressure exerted by the ring (1) on the arms (4 and 5) of the coil holder (3).  4) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the ring (1) is open, which makes it removable.  5) Spool holder (3) equipped with the device according to any one of the preceding claims.  6) Spool holder (3) equipped with the device according to claim 3 wherein the ring (1) closed or not is integral with one of the arms (4 or 5) of the spool holder (3).  7) Spool holder (3) equipped with the device according to any one of the preceding claims, the arms (4 and 5) of which are notched in their part coming into contact with the ring (1).
