"Spectacle frame with independent nose-rest tabs, with an orientable and adjustable position along the nose".
The present invention relates to a frame for glasses' with independent nose-rest tabs with a swiveling and adjustable position along the nose, and adapting to its shape.
It is known to the individual who is obliged to wear glasses,., That after a certain time he feels pain in the facial zone on which the crosspiece rests, because of the pressure - continual tension exerted by the lateral tabs on the nose, which are hollowed out directly in the shaped frame, appendage, or transferred onto it. It tends to stop the-

blood circulation at the point of contact of the appendages with the nose.
In addition, in the existing types of glasses, the tongues being in a determined position vis-à-vis the cross member, the glasses cannot always be adapted to all types of nose.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the aforementioned drawbacks, in particular to alleviate the continual pressure on the same point of the nose, and has as its object a frame for glasses, the nose-rest tabs of which can be oriented or adjusted. along the nose, they are adaptable to its shape, being able to be posed independently along the frame of the glasses, from the cross-member, by means of a vice support mounted in a sliding way cali- fork on it and maintained in the desired position by means of a spring, intended to press against the frame a bearing element on a pivot in the form of an elbow screwed on the one that can be moved, and carrying at its opposite end the tongue placed on a pivot, oscillating.
According to another embodiment, the vise is replaced by an appendage, running along the frame, from the cross member, and on which is made a groove, in which the support element slides, with a function similar to that described in the first form of construction.
It is obvious that the independently positioned nose-rest tabs, to be oriented and adjusted along the nose, can also be adapted to known spectacle frames, by removing the appendages or the tabs already present, and applying the device of the first embodiment.
The appended drawings illustrate two embodiments, in enlargement, of the frame according to the invention, and thus:
Figs. 1, 2 represent, respectively, in partial perspective view and in section, the first embodiment.
Figs. 3, 4 show, respectively, in partial perspective view and in section, the second embodiment.
In relation to the first form of construction (fig. 1, 2), on the frame 1, more precisely, along the frame 2 of each lens, is mounted a clamp support 3 in a sliding manner at cali-

fork on it, and which is held in the desired position by friction by a spring 4, intended to press against the frame 2 the head; 6 of a supporting element 5 with a protruding and internally threaded sleeve 7, to receive, by screwing the threaded end 8 ', an elbow-shaped pivot 3, and at its opposite end is placed on a pivot, oscillating at 9 a tongue 10 nose-rest. The element 5 which comes out of the vice 3 through an orifice 12, is linked to the sleeve 7 by the screw 11.
Pulling the tongue 10 and the elbow-shaped pivot 8 in the direction indicated by the arrow A, the head 6 of the element 5 will move away from the frame 2 releasing the vice which can slide along the latter, and be stopped in the desired position releasing the strap 10, so as to keep the head b pressed on said frame by virtue of the tension exerted by the spring 4.
Then screwing, more or less, the elbow-shaped pivot 8 to the sleeve 7, the tabs 10 will approach or move away from the cross member, and can be adapted to the shape of the nose.
According to another form of construction (fig. 3, 4), along the frame 2 of each lens, in correspondence with the cross member, is hollowed out an appendage 13 which departs from the same cross member, and on which a groove is made. 14, in which the element 5-6 for supporting the tongue 10 slides, with a function similar to that described for the previous case. In fact, by pulling the lun @@ ette 10 and the pivot 8 in the direction of the arrow A (fig. 4), the head 6 of the element 5 will be released from the frame and the latter will be able to slide with the tongue 10 along groove 14; by abandoning the tab 10, the spring 4 will push the head 6 against the aforementioned frame 2, the device being fixed in the desired position.
Naturally, the means employed to fix by friction, in the desired position, the nose-rest tabs may vary between extended limits, to accommodate the different applications; thus the face of the sliding element, in contact with the frame, may be provided with roughness to increase adhesion and subsequently friction, without thereby departing from the scope of the invention.
