Abstract

The jumping pit has two large mats (1,1') that are joined together at the top by a piece of fabric (2) which forms a double hinge. The carrying handles of the mats (3) are joined to the sides (6,6') of a frame with three parts (4,6,6') that can be folded. The posts (9,9') that support the bar (11) are joined to the ends of the frame.

Large mat for high jump, giving great safety to the athlete during the crossing exercises.

This large carpet, called long necklace, being very bulky (about 4000x2000x400 mm) it can fold in 2 parts and is often mounted on a chassis trolley fitted with displacement wheels.

All current systems fold with difficulty because during folding, there is movement of the mat on the chassis carriage, causing friction, wear, difficulty of use. On the other hand, the installation of the poles is long because they are independent, heavy members, placed on a cast iron base.

The object of the invention is to eliminate these drawbacks thanks to an easy folding system.

The set is made up of 2 large juxtaposed carpets of approximately 2000x2000x400 mm each, fixed on a chassis trolley fitted with displacement wheels.

The elastic (11) connecting the 2 posts (9) and (9 ') between them is covered over its entire length by a flexible material (18) which makes it possible to visualize the obstacle.

Two large carpets (1) and (1 ') are connected by the cover or fabric (2), linked on the carpets (1) and (1') in two straight lines A and A 'acting as double hinge.

This double hinge allows optimal and independent folding on each side of the jumper because it is articulated in two spaced apart axes and completely independent of the median axis. The total width of the double hinge corresponds to the thickness of the large carpet, or more.

The 2 large belts are fixed to the chassis trolley via their 8 carrying handles (3), which allows, if desired, to quickly separate the large carpets from the chassis trolley.

The chassis trolley is made up of 3 parts: - 1 central chassis part (4) comprising the displacement rollers and the 2 slides (5) on either side of said central chassis.

For easy folding, and due to the thickness of the two belts, the frames (6) and (6 ') deviate by a width equal to or greater than the thickness of the two large folded belts, by sliding on the central chassis (4).

When tilting a chassis (6) along arrow B, the tie rods (8) articulated in DD 'accompany the chassis (6) which moves back along arrow C guided by the bearings (7) which move inside slides (5) of the central chassis (4).

In the vertical position, these bearings come into abutment on the X parts of the central chassis (4).

The 4 springs or bungee cords (10) fully assist the folding movement and hold the assembly in the folded position, allowing the jumper to move without risk of opening.

The captive jump posts (9) and (9 ') are integral with the frames (6) and (6') and include the height adjustment of the elastic or rigid jump bar (11). For rapid use, the adjustment of the elastic or rigid jump bar is done by a system of straps (12) or flexible material surrounding the posts (9) and (9 ') and operating by friction or bracing.
