Abstract

A box, especially of wood, has four panels (12-15) joined by plastics or pliable metal hinges (20) along their vertical edges. At least two of the panels have inward-facing projections (24) to receive a base (23), while the top is covered by a lid (25) with at least one projecting strip (26) on its underside to fit between the top edges of the side panels. Two opposite side panels also have inner surface grooves (27) to receive partitions to support articles packed in the box.
