Abstract

The necktie has narrow (4) and broad (5) sections. Fasteners (5c, 5d) fix together the edges of the broad section behind the narrow section to give the appearance of a symmetrical knot. After the narrow section of the tie has been passed round the neck and the broad section threaded through it, the fasteners are pressed together to give a simulated knot at the top of the tie.
