Abstract

The valve has three orifices for various flow modes, with rotating throttle chamber and butterfly, actuated by spindle, to switch between the various flow modes. The three way valve has a first orifice (6) communicating with the pump suction pipe (2), a second orifice (7) connected to a tank (10) and a third orifice (11) connected to an external supply. The valve body encloses a rotating throttle chamber (13) having a channel and a peripheral radial orifice (15) which connects the second orifice (7) with the pump. The throttle chamber encloses a butterfly (16) in its axial channel (14), upstream of the orifice (15), mounted on a spindle (17) perpendicular to the channel axis. The spindle is guided in the throttle chamber and extends outside the body through a slot to allow operation of the throttle chamber and the butterfly at the same time selecting one or other of the pump supply possibilities.
