Abstract

  We recognize indeed in these figures, a hook-mooring gaff which allows the passage of a tip or rope on a fastening member constituted for example by a ring

  In these different figures, we recognize for example-

  ple an end cap designated by the general reference 1, adapted to be engaged on the end of a rod

  hook, this tip allowing the hook to fulfill the function

  mooring line as described.

  This tip can therefore be produced separately from the

  rest of the gaff as shown in these figures.

  However, it goes without saying that this tip can also be

  directly integrated with the rest of this gaff.

  This then comprises on one of the sides of its corresponding end, a hook-shaped lateral projecting part, designated by the general reference 2, of conventional type, at its end, fork-shaped means, designated by the general reference 3, allowing the passage of an end designated by the general reference 4 in FIGS. 3 to 7 and on the other side of its end, means in the form of a clamp, designated by the general reference, with two jaws 6 and 7, of which end zones are

  in elastic support against each other.

  At least one of these jaws, that is to say by

  In fact, during this engagement of the clamp on the attachment member illustrated for example in the form of a ring designated by the general reference 11 in this FIG. 4, this attachment member 11 enters the clamp, in being guided by the guide portion 10 for example of the second jaw 7 and passes between the tip 4 and the second

  jaw 7, by elastic deformation thereof.

  The elastic stress allows the maintenance of the

  tip 4 in position in the guide means 6a of the pre-

clamp 6 jaw.

  This then allows as we can see on the figure

  gure 5, to this hooking member 11 to cross the end

  free end 4 between the two jaws of the clamp.

  When it is desired to disengage the clamp from the hooking member, it can then be seen that the latter is placed between the tip 4 and the first jaw 6 comprising the guide means 6a for this tip, as illustrated on

Figure 6.

  The fastening member 11 then tends to push

  this end of the tip 4 to engage in the means of ac-

  hooking of the second elastic jaw 7 of the clamp and more particularly between the strands 7a and 7b constituting

the pin forming this jaw.

  It was previously indicated that the strands 7a and 7b of this pin approach in the direction of its tip. This

  constitutes a kind of slit of section gradually de-

  increasing, in which comes to get stuck automatically

  the end of the tip when disengaging the clamp from the

  hooking gane, this end of the end then being pushed

  placed in this slot by this hooking member 11 during

its release from the clamp 5.

  Once the end portion of the tip is held in position between the strands 7a and 7b of the pin, it is then possible, as illustrated in FIG. 7, to completely release the clamp 5 from the attachment member 11 and recover the free end of this end 4 by letting it go

  this end and bringing back the end of the gaff and therefore the ex-

  free end of the end, for example on the boat.

  It goes without saying of course that different embodiments of this mooring hook can be envisaged.

  This is particularly the case of the second ma-

  choire 7 of the clamp of this hook.

  In fact, in the embodiment illustrated in these figures, this second jaw is produced from

  of a folded steel wire whose strands approach in di-

rection of its tip.

  As mentioned above, this pin

  fulfills both the functions of holding the end in position

Claims (5)

  1. Mooring hook for the passage of a tip or rope (4) on a fastening member (11), characterized in that it comprises, at one of its ends, means in the form of a clamp ( 5) with two jaws (6, 7), the ends of which are in elastic abutment against one another and one of which   first (6) comprises guide means (6a) of a door   folded end of the end (4), so that this end   (4) is held in position by pinching between the   mites of the jaws (6,7) and that its free end extends between these jaws, during the engagement of the   clamp (5) on the attachment member (11), and one of which is   conde jaw (7) comprises hooking means (7a, 7b) by wedging the corresponding end of the end (4), to allow its recovery when disengaging the clamp (5) from the hooking member ( 11), the clamp being   adapted to be engaged on the latching member by step-   wise of the latter between the end (4) and the second jaw (7) of the clamp provided with means for hooking the end of the end, so as to allow this hooking member to   cross the free end of this end (4) between the two ma-   pliers and to be released from this ac-   spitting by passing it between the end (4) and the   first jaw (6) provided with means for guiding the former   end of end, to push this end of the end to   engage in the attachment means of the second mast pliers (7).   2. Gaff according to claim 1, characterized in that the end guide means provided on the first jaw (6) of the clamp are in the form of a gutter member (6a) generally V-shaped whose   branches are angled and attached to the rest of the gaff.   3. Gaff according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the second jaw (7) of the clamp provided with attachment means is made from a folded elastic steel wire, the ends of which are fixed (in 8) on   the rest of the gaff and whose strands (7a, 7b) approach   chent towards its tip, to form the attachment means by wedging the end between these strands, a support portion (9) facing the guide means (6a) of the first jaw (6) and a portion of guide (10) of the hooking member (11) between the jaws of the clamp. 4. Gaff according to claim 3, characterized in that the pin is made of spring wire.   5. Gaff according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises at its ex-   end, fork-shaped means (3) for passing the end (4).
