La présente invention concerne une meuleuse portative à bande abrasive pour l'entretien des voies de chemins de fer et de tramways, notament pour l'élimination du défaut dit d'usure ondulatoire à la surface de roulement d'un rail. Ce défaut consiste en une alternance périodique de creux et de bosses, d'un pas d'environ 150 mm, résultant de vibrations au passage des rames, et qui sont source de bruit et de fatigue du matériel roulant.The present invention relates to a portable grinder with an abrasive belt for the maintenance of railways and tramways, in particular for the elimination of the so-called wave wear defect on the running surface of a rail.
