Abstract

The display stand has a vertical plane of symmetry (P). It has transversal cross bars (2) between two lateral walls (4,5). Hooks (3) on the bars allow the handles (7) to be suspended, in a plane parallel to the plane of symmetry. The cross bars have two lateral walls and an upper wall and the hooks are holes in the lateral walls. The stand has a compartment (12) which is open towards the front and has a back wall (6) and two lateral walls.

Description

DISPLAY FOR HANGING ARTICLES
The present invention relates to a display for articles to be hung, in particular of hardware or locksmiths such as, for example, door handles.

 Many types of displays are known which allow articles intended for sale to be hung, such as, for example, displays of the type with metal holding rods. These include metal rods which extend from the rear wall of the display unit forwards, tilting slightly downwards, while their front ends form a stopper, rising slightly upwards, so as to block the natural sliding forward of the pieces presented. However, this type of display has many drawbacks such as its weight, size and difficulty of installation which make it impractical for certain types of products.

In addition, the rods are adapted to cooperate with an attachment member for the packaging or the product, said member being held in a transverse plane orthogonal to the axis of said rods, said cooperation being carried out so as to enhance the product for the consumer, that is to say allowing the consumer to determine at a glance the nature of the product by presenting its characteristic part most easily recognizable in a transverse plane substantially orthogonal to the axis stems.

 In fact, the displays known as those of the metal rod type do not make it possible to highlight products whose characteristic part recognizable by the consumer is positioned in a plane parallel to the rear front axis of the rods, which is the case. door handles, for example, which, when suspended on this type of display by their upper fixing screw, present their profile to the consumer instead of presenting them with the front plate and the handle itself.

 In addition, the displays of articles to hang are generally not easily adaptable to the stock that we want to have and most often appear either overloaded, or almost empty.

 The present invention proposes to solve the aforementioned drawbacks by simple and reliable means.

 Thus, according to the main characteristic, the display for articles to be suspended according to the invention comprises a general plane of symmetry extending vertically from the rear to the front of said display; it comprises retaining means intended to suspend articles by their attachment element so as to allow the positioning of said attachment element in a plane parallel to the general plane of symmetry.

 According to another characteristic, the display unit comprises at least one cross-member extending transversely, the said cross-member (s) comprising the retaining means.

 According to an additional characteristic, the retaining means consist of retaining hooks extending transversely.

 According to one embodiment, the sleepers are constituted by two side walls and an upper wall, the retaining hooks being constituted by recesses located on said side walls.

 According to another characteristic, the display unit comprises an enclosure open towards the front formed by two side walls and a rear wall.

 According to one embodiment, the crosspiece (s) is / are retained (s) by the two side walls.

 According to an additional characteristic, the retaining means allow the article to be suspended by its hooking element at two distinct points belonging to a plane parallel to the general plane of symmetry.

 According to one embodiment, the display comprises a lower box intended to allow the storage of various elements.

 According to another characteristic, the articles to be hung consist of door handles, the hooking element of which consists of a connecting screw connecting the front plates of said handle.

 Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which follows with reference to the appended drawings which are given only by way of nonlimiting examples.

 Figure 1 shows in perspective a view of the display according to the invention.

 Figures 10 and 11 illustrate an alternative embodiment, Figure 10 being a perspective, while Figure 11 is a side view.

 According to the invention, the display bearing the general reference (1) has a general plane of symmetry (P) which extends vertically from the rear (AR) towards the front (AV) of said display. It comprises retaining means (MR) which extend transversely so as to allow the suspension of articles to be suspended (7) by their hooking element (EA), said element being positioned in a plane parallel to the plane (P ) thanks to the said means of restraint (MR).

 According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the display unit comprising the vertical plane (P) of general symmetry comprises an enclosure (12) open towards the front (AV) delimited in part by two side walls (4, 5) and a rear wall (6) of rectangular shape. The side walls (4, 5) are advantageously arranged parallel to the plane (P) while the rear wall (6) is orthogonal to said plane (P).

Said side walls have an identical shape and comprise a lower rectangular portion (4a, 5a) extended by an upper portion (4b, 5b) of trapezoidal shape having a progressive narrowing in width as they extend towards the top, as shown in Figure 1.

 According to the preferred embodiment, the enclosure (12), formed by the side walls (4, 5) and the rear wall (6), does not have an upper wall and is thus open upwards (HA). However, it goes without saying that the presence of such a wall will in no way modify the protective field of the invention. Similarly, the shape of the side walls could be different, such as, for example, rectangular or triangular, without however departing from the scope of protection of the invention.

 According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the display (1) comprises a set of crosspieces (2) extending transversely between the two side walls (4, 5). Note, moreover, that it is the two side walls which hold each of the cross members, these thus advantageously extending in a manner substantially orthogonal to the plane (P). Said sleepers (2) comprise the retaining means (MR) which are intended to allow the articles (7) to be suspended by their hooking element (EA).

 According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the retaining means (MR) consist of hooks (3) which extend transversely so as to allow the positioning of the hooking element (EA) of the article to be suspended (7) in a plane parallel to the plane of symmetry (P). Thus, the display of the invention bearing the general reference (1) comprises at least one crosspiece (2) comprising a succession of hooks (3), and can be used to present, for example, door handles (7) composed two front plates (7b) linked together by at least one transverse connecting screw (7a), said plates carrying the lever (7d) proper of the handle.

 According to a characteristic of the invention, each of the retaining hooks extends in a transverse plane (T). Thus, each of the handles (7) can be suspended from a corresponding hook (3) by its connecting screw (7a) which constitutes its attachment element (EA), said screw being positioned in a plane parallel to the plane (P) of general symmetry of the display, as illustrated in Figures 2 and 3. Note that, thanks to this arrangement, the front plate (7b) of each handle (7) is present on the display transversely, facing the potential buyer unlike to displays known to date.

 According to the preferred embodiment, the crosspieces (2) illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 5 each consist of three longitudinal walls, namely, an upper wall (16a) and two inclined side walls (16b, 16c) and thus have in a plane parallel to the plane (P) a triangular section. They are, moreover, made of cardboard, so that they can be shaped by folding before their installation. It goes without saying that said crosspieces (2) could have an open or closed section, square, rectangular or other, just as they could be obtained from a different material, without however departing from the scope of the invention.

 In addition, according to a complementary characteristic of the invention, said crosspieces comprise at each of their ends (2a, 2b) fixing means (MF) intended to allow their fixing to the side walls (4, 5) of the display (1) , as shown in Figure 8.

 According to the preferred embodiment, the crosspieces (2) are arranged by each of their ends (2a, 2b) inside the retaining holes (13) located on the side walls (4, 5) and whose shape corresponds advantageously to the shape of the section of said crosspieces (2), so as to slightly protrude said ends (2a, 2b) outside (EX) of the enclosure (12). The fixing means (MF) then consist of locking tabs (14) located at the ends (2a, 2b) of the crosspieces and which are then unfolded in the blocking position when the crosspieces (2) are in place.

The hooks (3) forming the retaining means (MR) are carried by the crosspieces (2). According to the preferred embodiment, said hooks can advantageously be constituted by recesses (15) located on the inclined side walls (16b, 16c) of the crosspieces (2), said recesses advantageously having the shape of a hook disposed at the upside down or a cane. Thus, the attachment element (EA) of the articles (7) is retained at the end (15a) of the recess (15). Note that, according to this embodiment, each attachment element (EA) is retained at two distinct points (A, B) belonging to the same plane (P1) parallel to
P, namely, the ends (1 Sa) of the recesses (15) located face to face on the inclined side walls of the crosspieces (2), as shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5.

Thus, the attachment element (EA) such as, for example, the connecting screw (7a) of the door handle (7) cannot pivot and is advantageously held in the plane (P1) at two separate points (A ,
B) thanks to the retaining means (MR). It goes without saying that the retaining hooks (3) could, for example, be constituted by projections in the form of a hook or U instead of being formed by recesses or by any other equivalent means, without however leaving the protective field of the invention.

 According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the crosspieces (2) illustrated in FIG. 5 consist, before their shaping and their positioning, of a cardboard plate (17) comprising three parallel folding grooves (18a , 18b, 18c) and recesses (15) in the form of hooks arranged symmetrically on either side of the central folding groove (18b), as shown in FIG. 9.

 In this way, according to the number of articles to be hung (7), to be presented, the user can evenly distribute the number of crosspieces (2) that he has in the enclosure (12) of the display (1) and can remove cross members when they are empty. The sleepers are therefore removable and can be shaped and positioned in the display depending on the use thereof.

 Note that, according to the preferred embodiment illustrated for the door handles (7), the retaining means (MR) are arranged on the lower part of the cross so as to be able to suspend said handles after the establishment of said cross. It goes without saying that for articles whose hooking element does not have a closed outline such as headphones, headbands or the like, said retaining means could be arranged on the upper part of the crosspieces and be formed by straight notches, for example.

 Furthermore, according to a variant embodiment not shown, the retaining means (MR) are constituted by pivoting retaining hooks carried by the crosspieces, said hooks being able to be positioned so as to extend in a transverse plane (T) as in the preferred embodiment and thus allow the suspension of the articles to be presented by their attachment element (EA) so that said attachment element is positioned in a plane parallel to the plane (P).

In addition, said hooks can also be oriented differently so as to extend in a plane parallel to the plane (P) to allow the suspension of articles of conventional type, for example whose hooking element must be maintained in a plane transverse in order to highlight said articles. In addition, such pivoting retaining hooks can allow the attachment element of the articles to be held in a wide variety of planes by virtue of their pivoting about a substantially vertical axis. According to this variant, the sleepers have a square section for example, the hooks being mounted through vertical holes distributed on said sleeper. Note that said hooks or the cross member may include means for locking these hooks when they are positioned.

 Note that the lower part of the display of the invention comprises a lower box (8) whose bottom (8a) and the cover (8b) ensure the rigidity of the assembly. Said box (8), thanks to its pivoting cover (8b), can thus serve as a reserve of product (7) or of complementary crosspieces (2).

 The display unit (1) of the invention can also be placed on a handling pallet (9) which can be hidden by a movable belt (10), and the entire display unit can be covered with a ringed cover. with the pallet for transporting the assembly. According to a variant, the display can also be provided with rollers in order to facilitate its handling and its positioning.

 According to the preferred embodiment of the display (1), said movable belt (10) consists of four vertical side walls whose dimensions are adjusted so as to be able to slide from the bottom (BA) upwards (HA), and conversely the along the pallet and the display.

 The display and the crossbars are advantageously made of cardboard, but can also be made of any other material.

 In a variant illustrated in FIGS. 10 and 11, the cross member (s) (2) are L-shaped profiles made with sheet steel, the said cross member (s) (2) not being retained by side walls, as previously described, but by metal rods (40, 50) fixed to a rear wall (60). In this variant, the crosspiece (2) comprises a vertical wall (200) and a horizontal wall (201) of stiffening. The vertical wall (200) comprises, of course and as before, a succession of recesses (15) forming the various retaining hooks (3).

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown by way of examples, but it also includes all the technical equivalents and their combinations.

Claims (10)

 1. Display (1) for articles to be hung (7) of general plane of symmetry (P) extending vertically from the rear (AR) towards the front (AV) of said display, characterized in that it comprises retaining means (MR) intended to allow the articles (7) to be suspended by their attachment element (EA) so as to allow the positioning of said attachment element in a plane parallel to the plane (P).  2. Display stand (1) for articles to be hung (7) according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises at least one crosspiece (2) extending transversely, the one or more known as crosspiece (s) comprising the retaining means (MR).  3. Display (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the retaining means (MR) are constituted by retaining hooks (3) extending transversely.  4. Display (1) according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the crosspieces (2) are constituted by two side walls (16b, 16c) and an upper wall (16a), the retaining hooks (3) being constituted by recesses (15) located on said side walls.  5. Display (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises an enclosure (12) open towards the front (AV) formed by two side walls (4, 5) and a rear wall ( 6).  6. Display (1) for articles to be hung (7) according to claims 2 and 5, characterized in that the cross-member (s) (2) is / are retained (s) by the two side walls (4, 5 ).  7. Display (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the retaining means (MR) allow the article (7) to be suspended by its attachment element (EA) at two distinct points ( A, B) belonging to a plane (P1) parallel to the plane (P).  8. Display (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a lower box (8) intended to allow the storage of various elements.  9. Display (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the articles to be hung (7) are constituted by door handles (7) whose hooking element (EA) consists of a connecting screw (7a) connecting together the front plates (7b) of said handle.  10.
