Abstract

The dispenser consists of a container (10) for the pills, a chute (16) and a sliding shutter (18). The chute has a spiral surface which can hold several pills at a time, while the shutter has a hole (36) which can take one at a time. The shutter is operated by depressing a cap (14) on its upper spring-loaded end (20), moving it between a first position in which its hole (36) is in line with the lower end of the chute to receive a pill, and a second position in which the pill is dropped into a receptacle (12) on the lower end of the container which is removed to retrieve the pills.
