Abstract

The positioner for advancing the seat belt loop near to the door armrest comprises an operating arm (3) rotating on a spindle (4) through a sector of about 90<o>. The arm is held inside a tubular part (11) between two stops (12,13) enabling it to rotate along its longitudinal axis. The arm is activated by an electro-mechanical element which is located either directly on the arm spindle or separate from it inside an independent casing. At the opposite end to the mechanism, the arm has a grip (6) which is placed parallel or perpendicular to the lateral upright of the vehicle, according to whether it is being used or at rest.
