Procédé de fabrication d'un conteneur selon l'une des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que l'on réalise deux structures à section en U en un matériau semi-rigide tel que le carton ou le carton ondulé, la base (1) et les branches (2, 3) du U de chaque structure étant constitués de panneaux articulés entre eux par des lignes de pliage, deux volets (4, 5) étant articulés respectivement par une ligne de pliage sur la base (1) et sur l'une (2) des branches du U et étant dressés perpendiculairement à la partie attenante vers l'intérieur du U, les deux structures en U étant ensuite tournées l'une en direction de l'autre, une face d'une branche du U de l'une des structures tournée vers une face d'une branche du U de l'autre structure préalablement enduite de colle étant appliquée contre celle-ci, tandis que les volets (4, 5) des deux structures sont imbriqués et/ou assemblés entre eux de façon usuelle.  5.
