Abstract

A transparent container for packing and counting flat articles of the same dimensions, such as coins or tokens has a cross-sectional shape corresponding to the dimensions of articles, and a height corresponding to a given number of them. The container (10) has a thin wall of a supple plastic, a perforated base (13) and a stopper (30). The outer diameter of the stopper is slightly greater than the inner diameter of the container, which is made from polypropylene 0.5 mm thick. The stopper can have a hole in it to let in air, while the hole in the base of the container is large enough to allow the surface of the article at the bottom of the pile to be visually identified. The wall of the container has a coloured strip (12) to indicate the nature of its contents and marks (11) for the number of articles inside.
