Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for fixing by gluing a glass element, in particular for household appliances. Device characterized in that it is essentially constituted by at least one layer (3) of adhesive product deposited by screen printing on at least one face of the glass element (1) at all the desired locations. The invention is more particularly applicable to the fixing of glass elements, such as control panels or others, directly on a support.

DESCRIPTION

  The present invention relates to the field of household electrical appliances, in particular stoves. ovens. dishwashers and the like, provided on their facades with a glass panel forming a control panel, and relates to a device for fixing by gluing a glass element, especially for household appliances. The glass elements used for this purpose are aesthetic pieces and the edges of the panels constituting them are often bare, so that they are clearly visible. As a result, the currently existing glass strips are generally either fixed to the apparatus by metal brackets glued to the glass, decorated by enameling or the like, or glued to the apparatus with an adhesive

sticker on both sides.

  The two known fastening methods have the disadvantage of being relatively expensive in their implementation, the use of two-sided adhesive bonded to the glass and the apparatus being, however, the most reliable. This two-sided adhesive plays

  simultaneously the role of seal and shock absorption.

  However, this embodiment requires that the two-sided adhesive on the glass be applied with particular care, so that its

  positioning is perfectly accurate.

  In addition, the glass elements are very often decorated and have transparent areas for the passage of the light-emitting diode light operation during the cycle of the device.   For this purpose, the fastening device of a glass element is characterized in that it consists essentially of at least one layer of adhesive-product deposited by screen printing on at least one face of the glass element

to all the desired places.

  The invention will be better understood, thanks to the following description, which

  relates to a preferred embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, and explained with reference to the appended diagrammatic drawing, in which: FIG. 1 is a partial side elevation view in section of a glass element provided with a device according to the invention, and FIG. 2 is a partial plan view of the glass element according to the

figure 1.

  According to the invention, this fixing device consists essentially of at least one layer 3 of adhesive product deposited by screen printing on at least one face of the glass element 1 at all desired locations. Thus, it is possible to fix the glass element 1 directly on a

  support 2 by precisely predetermined locations of its surface.

  According to one characteristic of the invention. not shown in the accompanying drawing, the glass element is covered over its entire face comprising the layer of adhesive product 3, after the deposition of the latter and before its fixing by gluing

  on a support, a protective film made of silicone paper or other anti-

  adhesive. Such a film allows temporary storage of the glass element 1 until it is mounted on a support 2, this film can be used simultaneously for the protection of the glass element 1 during transport. in particular to avoid scratches due to friction with a neighboring element, thus advantageously replacing the intermediate paper usually separating the glasses during transport. Because the layer of adhesive product 3 is deposited by screen printing, its positioning can be perfectly precise, because the screen or screens used for this purpose are easily adjustable in position and can have cutouts perfectly adapted to the needs. As a result, said layer 3 can also fulfill the function of sealing and replacing

  advantageously the biface adhesive currently used.

  According to another characteristic of the invention and as shown more particularly in Figure 1 of the accompanying drawing, the fixing device consists of two layers 3 of adhesive product disposed on both sides of the glass element 1. Such a mode embodiment allows the simultaneous fixing, on -3- the glass element 1 of decorative or functional elements 4 and 5, metal, glass or other. In addition, it is thus possible to advantageously replace the biface adhesive or adhesives currently used and requiring cuts and poses very

  precise and complex to achieve.

  In the case of such a fixation of decorative elements 4 and 5, one of these elements, for example 4, may be in the form of a second decorated glass strip and can be illuminated from behind or by its slice by means of a light source making it possible to make the decoration visible when it is lit, whereas

  this decoration is invisible when said light source is off.

  According to one characteristic of the invention, the adhesive product forming layer 3 is advantageously in the form of an acrylate-based permanent dispersion adhesive, or the like which can be deposited by brush, roller or screen printing. Thanks to the invention it is possible to achieve the fixing by gluing of a glass element, especially for household appliances, directly on said devices or on an intermediate support, by using a device

  enabling a perfectly precise, reliable and repetitive implementation.

  This device also ensures the sealing of the glass element thus bonded.

Device for fixing by bonding a glass element, especially for household appliances, characterized in that it consists essentially of at least one layer (3) of adhesive product deposited by screen printing   on at least one side of the glass element (1) at all desired locations.   2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the glass element (1) is covered over its entire face comprising the layer of adhesive product (3), after the deposition of the latter and before its fixing by bonding   on a support, a protective film made of silicone paper or other anti- adhesive.   3. Device according to any one of claims 1 and 2,   characterized in that it consists of two layers (3) of adhesive product   disposed on both sides of the glass element (1).   4. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 3,   characterized in that the adhesive product forming the layer (3) is advantageously in the form of an acrylate-based permanent dispersion adhesive, or the like   can be applied by brush, roller or screen printing.
