Abstract

  The present invention relates to workstations and aims more particularly but not exclusively a trading room operator, or a similar workstation. A workstation comprises an office, consisting essentially of a tray, having a front edge, in front of which is placed the operator, a rear edge and two sides, the tray resting on pides or caissons. Trading rooms are premises located in banks, brokerage firms and other commodity trading organizations. The workstations of those dealing with these markets must allow intense activity with the minimum of inconvenience to be fast and efficient. An operator station, to allow to have several information simultaneously is generally equipped, in addition to several simultaneous telephone lines of several computers, for example three or four, as for example the station which is shown in Figure 1 of the attached drawings . A computer includes among others a screen and a central unit. To be usable, the screen must be placed on the workstation, so face to the front edge. In general, the CPU is placed on the table,

  below the screen, which is placed on it.

  On an operator's station, already very crowded by phones and screens, there is not enough space to house the central units or other equipment, electronic among others. Until now, these units are placed separately, next to the table, or under it, in a small piece of furniture on wheels. We adapt to this provision which is not always practical, because the operator must be able to access the front of the CPU,

  as well as on the back, to undo, redo or modify the connections.

  The present invention relates to an operator station having a provision

  particularly advantageous central units.

  Figure 1 shows an operator station according to the invention. Such a position is usable in a trading room, as well as in trading organizations having to

deal with similar problems.

  This station comprises a plate 1, possibly a front portion can be folded or retractable. The tray is supported by boxes 2 and 3 which can contain storage drawers, wiring, etc ... On the tray is arranged a telephone system 4, adapted to the relationships necessary for the operations to be performed by the user.   In the position shown in FIG. 1, the trunk presents towards the front of the station, the front face SA, provided with an opening O1, O2, etc., in front of each of which is placed the front face of a central unit U1. , U2, etc. The user of the operator station can therefore have access, from his place of work, directly to the front faces of the central units.   maneuvering bar 8 is fixed on the front of the trunk.

  Thanks to the articulation 6, 7, the trunk can be pivoted forwards and brought into an intervention position in which the rear face of the trunk is directly accessible to

the front of the operator station.

  In Figure 2, the chest is shown after pivoting about 90 to 120.

  The importance of the pivoting depends on the dimensions of the elements of the station, in particular the thickness of the caisson 2. It is only necessary that the rear face 5B of this

  box is easily accessible, as in the example of representation of Figure 2.

  The rear face of the trunk 5 has openings sufficient for the extraction or

the insertion of the central units.

  Figure 3 shows in more detail the rear face 5B of the trunk in the intervention position. The internal lateral face 2L of the box 2 is provided with jacks 9 connected to other jacks not shown, arranged on the plate 1, in the vicinity of the rear face of said plate, to which other jacks are connected to screens. The rear faces of the CPUs have their usual grips. Cables Ci, C2, etc ... are connected firstly to the sockets 9, and secondly to the sockets of the central units. These cables have a sufficient length to allow movement without any gene trunk 5. Fixing means 11, 12 are provided on the sides of the trunk to maintain the cables in clear order. We see that it is thus possible and simple, for example to extract a central unit and to replace it after intervention, or to replace it with another: we tilt the chest, or disconnect a unit, without touching the others or their connections. We replace a unit and rebase the chest. The disturbance is minimized, both in the duration of the intervention and in the disturbance to the environment.

claims   1.- Operator station for a trading room comprising a work plate (1) with a front edge in front of which the operator normally installs, and on which are arranged one or more computer screens, the central units of which are arranged in the immediate vicinity, in particular below the work plate, characterized in that the central units are housed in a box, having a front face and a rear face, corresponding to the front and rear faces of the central units, said box being attached to the operator station by a link which allows a movement of said safe to be able to   present either the front or rear face to the front edge of the worktop.   2. Operator station according to claim 1, characterized in that said box is articulated around a vertical axis.   3. Operator station according to claim 2, characterized in that the trunk is placed on the ground, the hinge pin is located on one side of the front face of the trunk, and on a side of the operator station.   4. An operator station according to claim 3, characterized in that the wiring of the rear faces passes in the vicinity of the hinge axis, and is provided with a length   sufficient to accompany the movement of the trunk.
