Abstract

  The electrical contact member, according to the

  vention, includes a first element 1 made from

  of a metal strip which conducts electricity well

  tee suitably cut and folded to present, at one end, lugs 2 for crimping an insulated conductor and lugs 3 intended to grip

  a stripped part of said conductor.

  In the vicinity of the legs 3 is produced a profiled part 4 with a U-shaped section (see FIG. 5) which is extended by a body 6 having a substantially elliptical section whose free edge has four elastic legs 8, 9, 10 and 11, the legs 8, 9 and 10, 11 facing each other and having, on their face, opposite one another a boss 14. The body 6, has, in line with the small axis of symmetry on the two opposite faces, a recess 17, the elastic tabs being located

  on either side of the recess 17.

  In the body 6 are practiced two lu-

  dies 15 angularly offset and a notch 16.

  On the body 6 is engaged a sleeve 20 having a section corresponding to that of the body 6 and which has a front end 21 and a

posterior end 22.

  In the sleeve 20 are cut two tabs 23 which are folded to fit into the slots 15 (see Figures 2 and 4) and two lugs 24 folded back into the notch 16. Thus the sleeve 20 is

secured to the body 6.

  In the sleeve 20 are cut four bars 26, 27, 28 and 29, the bar 26 bearing against the elastic tab 8, the bar 27 against

  the elastic tab 9 and the bars 28 and 29, res-

  pectively, against the elastic tabs 10 and 11. A male tab fixed to one end of a conductor can be engaged between the elastic tabs 8, 9, 10 and 11 and perfectly tightened by them, their elastic action being reinforced by

bars 26, 27, 28 and 29.

  Finally, a retaining tab is provided.

  In Figure 10, there is shown a housing which has channels 56 for members 50 and

  channels 57 for organs 45, these being ver-

  rusted by two keys 58 and 59 facing each other and having notches 60 intended to cooperate

with profiled parts 4-4a.

  Of course, the invention is not limited to

  tee to the embodiment which has just been described

  to be present. We can bring many mo-

  details without going beyond the framework

of the invention.
