Abstract

The handle (10) has an opening (14) for receiving a square section spindle (30). Several elastic tabs (12) can be slid along the spindle. When the tabs reach a narrowed part (32) of the spindle they are pressed inward, locking onto the spindle. The end of the handle has tongues parallel to the spindle to engage recesses in the face of a gear (25). The gear can be driven by an electric motor in the rotisserie, to rotate the food being cooked. The face of the gear has also two tongues (22) that compress the handle tabs against the spindle. If the handle is rotated, the tabs come clear of the tongues and the handle can be removed.
