Abstract

The toasted sandwich making accessory is fitted into a conventional toaster that has a top opening slot for insertion of toast. The toaster has electric heating elements (3) on either side of the internal chamber. Two walls (5,6) hold the item to be cooked and separate it from the electric heating elements. A bottom surface (7) holds the lower edge of the item to be cooked, and this surface is 'V'-shaped to position the item and collect crumbs. The accessory is a carrier with an approximately rectangular profile and an open edge, into which the sandwich is placed edge on. The accessory is inserted through the top opening and placed between the internal walls of the toaster.
