Abstract

The leg is mounted on the lower surface of a block (2) joined to the mattress base. A ring (4) is pressed with force into a hole (5) in the block and has two opposite studs (8) projecting from its inner surface. Another ring (6) is threaded on a rod (7), projecting from the upper surface of the leg. The second ring has two opposite notches (12) in which the studs engage. These each have a straight part with two opposite bulges. The space between these is less than the largest dimension of the cross section of the studs.
