Abstract

The colour digitisation of a patients foot makes use of a scanner to form an image of the foot. The image data is then reproduced or stored. The scanner (7) is housed on a box (1). The top of the box carries a thick transparent glass plate (3), which supports a weight up to 120 kg. The box has a suspended double bottom (4) permitting the scanner flexibility in illuminating the thick glass when the cover (8) of the scanner is in the open position. Ventilation slots (9) allow entry of cooling air to the scanner unit. A reflecting tissue is used to allow a single print to be taken, and a reflecting tissue with cut-outs for the feet improves the quality of the gathered image.

La profondeur du boitier et la compression des ressorts doivent permettre au scanner de dépasser légèrement afin que le panneau de verre affleure la face supérieure du scanner.
