Abstract

The cover (5) is designed to fit over the grip of the firearm's stock (2) adjacent to its breech mechanism (3), providing a damper for vibrations and a surface for marking for publicity purposes or identification. The cover fits tightly in place over the grip and can be removed when required. The cover comprises a tubular sleeve made from a woven or non-woven fabric or an elastomer, with edges fastening by means of self-adhesive textile strips, such as Velcro (RTM).

OR NOT FOR HUNTING OR SPORTS RIFLE
The invention relates to the technical sector of armaments and related equipment and accessories.

 The handling of weapons and in particular during shooting operations leads the hunter or shooter to position one of the hands in the front part of the butt of the weapon before the tilting zone and the mechanisms for gaining access to the trigger of shoot. This hand positioning zone can also serve as a carrying zone for the weapon being located close to its point of equilibrium.

 In the event of multiple shooting operations, in particular when the weapon is used as a sporting rifle, vibrations appear and, in the long run, there may be some discomfort for the user.

 Another problem is that the weapons can be stored more or less regularly, in a rack or on a shooting range, so that it can be difficult to identify the personal weapon among others , if several hunters or sportsmen use the same type of weapons.

 The aim sought after according to the invention was therefore to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a new arrangement of the hunting or sporting rifle at the location considered by overcoming the aforementioned drawbacks.

 According to a first characteristic of the invention, the hunting or sporting weapon is arranged in the front part of its butt adjacent to the rocking mechanism with a protective handle ensuring a vibration damper function, and advantageously allowing marking for advertising or identification purposes, said handle being removable with respect to the weapon, while being closely positioned and maintained thereon after installation.

 According to another characteristic, the protective handle is arranged in the form of a tubular sleeve in texture of woven or non-woven material having a certain elasticity to engage around the weapon and to position itself by retraction on the gripping area of the weapon in the front part of the butt.

 According to another characteristic, the protective handle is produced in the form of a sleeve of flexible material and of elastomeric material.

 These characteristics and others will become apparent from the following description.

 In order to make the object of the invention more concrete, it is now described in a nonlimiting manner in the figures of the drawings.

 We have represented by (1) a weapon of the shotgun or sport rifle, the technical characteristics of which can vary as required.

 According to the invention, between the butt part (2) of the weapon and the rocker part (3) receiving the firing mechanisms, said weapon has a tapered zone (4) which is capable of receiving the hand of the user either to have access to the trigger, or to allow the portage of the weapon. This tapered area (4) is capable of receiving an attached handle (5) providing a dual function of damping the vibrations generated during shooting, and advertising marking. This handle is established in the form of a sleeve which preferably covers almost the entire aforementioned area. This sleeve, in a first embodiment, is tubular and is obtained from a textile material, woven or nonwoven, having a certain elasticity for, on the one hand, engaging around the front of the rifle to be threaded towards the aforementioned zone and ensuring, after positioning, a holding by retraction, and avoiding any movements.

 In another implementation, the sleeve can be established in the form of a strip of textile material having self-gripping zones of the "VELCRO" type, complementary, this strip being wound in the zone considered and being maintained by the connection of the Velcro fasteners mentioned above.

 In an alternative embodiment, this handle is established in the form of a sleeve made of a flexible and deformable elastomeric material which is engaged around the rifle under the same conditions as above.

 As a variant, this sleeve may have a longitudinal slot allowing it to be positioned around the area.

This sleeve can be made of cellular foam, or other equivalent material capable of absorbing vibrations and shocks, while ensuring excellent comfort in the hand. This comfort is necessary so that the operator can, without embarrassment, have access to the trigger of the weapon.

The aforementioned handle advantageously has a visual marking which can be nominal or graphic for easy visual identification by the user. We can for example use and write the reference of the name of a manufacturer
This handle is of any suitable external appearance, colored or not. This handle is easily removable for cleaning or to allow marking modifications.

 The advantages emerge clearly from the invention. We emphasize its simplicity and its role as a shock absorber. It offers better comfort in terms of the grip of the weapon, which can be an important asset during shooting competitions and for sustainable use of the weapon.

-1- Handle for hunting or sporting rifle, characterized in that the hunting or sporting weapon is arranged in the front part of its stock (2) adjacent to the rocking mechanism (3) with a protective handle ( 5) providing a vibration damper function, and allowing marking for advertising or identification purposes, said handle being removable with respect to the weapon, while being closely positioned and maintained thereon after being put in place . -2- Handle according to claim 1, characterized in that it is arranged according to a tubular sleeve in texture of woven or nonwoven material having a certain elasticity to engage around the weapon and position by retraction on the area grip the weapon in the front part of the butt. -3- Handle according to claim 1, characterized in that it is arranged in the form of a protective sleeve made in the form of a flexible material, made of elastomeric material. -4- Handle according to claim 1, characterized in that it is produced in the form of a sleeve obtained from a strip of textile material having self-gripping zones of the "VELCRO" type complementary, said strip being wound in the area considered and maintained by the connection of hook-and-loop means. -5- Handle according to claim 3, characterized in that the sleeve has a longitudinal slot.
