Abstract

The marker has a post which supports a sign. The post has a pin (6) to anchor it to the ground a pole (2) and a sleeve (4) which supports the sign (8). The sign pin and pole are slotted into each other and are held in position by a latch (10) on one of the sections ( 2, 4,8) which fits into a strike plate (12) in the adjacent section. The pole (2) has a transverse finger (10) which forms the latch. It is sprung so that it extends outwards through a groove (16) in the pole. The pin (6) and the sleeve (4) each have one or more grooves which form the strike plates. The sleeve and the pin may have a number of radial holes forming strike plates which are equidistant. The pole may be made up of several shorter poles which all fit together in the same way. The sign has a sleeve at the rear which is attached to the pole in the same way.
