Abstract

The shoe box lid is made from a single folded and grooved blank. The lid has a rectangular base (1) which is extended beyond its small side edges by front flaps. These front flaps are constituted from an external front face (3) connected by a folding line to the front internal face (4) so that they can be folded down inside the lid and pressed against each other. The lid has two side walls (2) and foldable tabs (5) extending from them or the free edges of the external front face of the front flaps. This enables the side walls to be stuck to the front flaps. The flaps have folding lines so they can be laid flat inside the lid before making the body. These flaps are coated with a self adhesive glue on a part of their front surface which remains visible after sticking the folded tabs onto the inside of the flaps.
