Abstract

The support consists of a frame (1) containing a volume of soil in which the roots of the plants are grown, made from rigid panels (2) of netting (6) covering and supporting an inner layer (7) of a material which the plants can pass through so that their leaves and flowers can develop. The inner volume of soil can be in a truncated pyramid shape, with the outer panels made in sections (3-5) which can fit one inside another for transport and be stacked to create the required volume. A second inner supporting frame (8) can be used, with the soil container in the space between outer and inner supports, and the volume containing the earth can contain perforated tubes for watering. The support can be made in a wide variety of shapes for covering with plants.
