Abstract

The invention relates to a construction element which, owing to its method of manufacture - formed under pressure in a steel mould machined to 1/100<th> of a mm from any material capable of being moulded, is to allow walls to be erected without using any binding joint (mortar or the like), the assembly holding together by the setting of the elements into one another in staggered configuration (in the manner of stretcher bonds), sealing being obtained by the perfect adherence of the contacting surfaces and reinforced by the internal part of the vertical and horizontal joins being closed off by the inset part of each element. This element is in the form of a single-piece moulded block having two distinct parts. 1 - An upper part (1) having the form of a right-angled parallelepiped, the lateral vertical sides (7) of which partly form the internal and external walls of the constructed wall. 2 - A lower part (2) which is centred with respect to the upper part, of smaller dimensions (namely 1/2 the length and 1/3 the thickness, the height being the same) and constituting that part of the element which is inset. The element according to the invention is particularly intended for the building of crack-free walls without the use of any binding product or any internal or external finishing coating, the desired external appearance being obtained from moulding.
