Abstract

Device including multiple lateral openings and automatic closures offering access to a pair of (optical) spectacles in a case. The invention relates to a device making it possible to store a pair of spectacles in the case, via four different openings, without having to preposition the case, closure of which is automatic. It consists of two panels 10 and 11 each comprising a frame 5 covered with leather or Skai (leatherette) or other similar materials, of which the assembly fixed in the centre 9 of each of the four flexible small sides 7 of the frame 5 makes it possible, by exerting, on the rigid large sides 6 of the multiple lateral openings of the case in any position the latter may occupy in the user's hand, the user having only to exert, with his/her thumb on the upper lateral side of the case facing him/her, a downward pressure in order to obtain opening of the case which will reclose as soon as thumb pressure ceases. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for offering the user several possible modes of access to his/her pair of spectacles as well as automatic closure of the various openings 1, 2, 3 and 4.

CPIPTION

  The title of the invention is: CASE WITH LUPETTES WITH OPENINGS

  LATERAILES E> T. * TIPLES AND AUTOMATIC FEBMETURES.

  This new model of case is intended for pairs of glasses

  individual (optical) of any size.

  It brings a new comfort of use since it comprises, according to a first feature, the possibility of multiplying by four or two (depending on the variant) possibilities of different openings of the holster facilitating and the introduction of the pair of glasses in I0 the case, since it reduces to a simple gesture of the user handling thereof, contrary to the disadvantage of the holsters traditionally used that offer only 'a single opening and thus imposed on the user

a unique position of the case.

  I5 Indeed, when the user grasps the new model of case in his hand, he finds at the same time the opening able to receive the pair of glasses that he holds in his

other hand.

  The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention, which is: FIGS. 1 and 2 which give the external representation of the spectacle case on the I / 2 scale, the dimensions of which (not mandatory) are of: length = I70m , width = 90mm,

thickness = 8mm.

  The I2 coating can be leather or skai or other

similar materials.

  Figures 3 and 4 which illustrate the four different lateral openings I, 2, 3 and 4 possible of the case, likewise for the variant that offers the possibility of two openings

  Figures 5, 6 and 7 which define the numbered structure of the spectacle case that opens on four sides I, 2, 3 and 4, while on the variant, the case opens on both sides

  They represent the constitution of the frames 5, as well as the surface of the flexible covering 12 of its two identical frames 5 which, once coated, are transformed into two panels 10 and 11 fixed together at 9 on the middle of the flexible small sides 7. While on the variant IO panels

  and II are fixed together on their bases 8.

  Figure 8 relates to frame 5 which includes two long

  rigid sides 6 secured to I5 flexible short sides 7.

  Note: To obtain the flexibility of the short sides 7, it is possible to use either two pairs of curved leaf springs I3, or in a second case to use a support in

IO elastic flat plastic I4.

  Figures 9 and 10 show us the shape of I3 leaf spring pairs and the shape of the short sides

flexible plastic I4.

  FIG. II gives a perspective representation of the opening of the holster carried by the thumb of a hand on the long lateral side I. This operation being equally possible on each of the four sides I, 2, 3 and 4, similarly on both

I or 2 sides of the variant.

  With reference to these drawings, the device of the new spectacle case whose easy realization can easily find its industrial application is constituted by two frames 5

  outer dimensions of 9Omm x I70mm, thin.

  Each of these two identical frames 5 comprise two long rigid sides 6 integral with the two small flexible sides 7 constituted either by two pairs of curved leaf springs I3, or by a flat elastic plastic support I4, in both cases these small sides 7 stay

  resting rights but will flex under the pressure of a finger.

  As soon as the pressure stops on the short sides 7, these

  resume their position as well as their initial form.

  The two frames 5 are wrapped in a coating I2 either of leather or imitation leather, or of skai or any other similar material used for the manufacture of

  cases that are found in commerce.

  The two identical panels IO and II obtained by assembling the frames 5 and the coating I2 are fixed face to face by two rivets placed on the middle 9 of each of the four small

  flexible sides 7 on which it opposes.

  -3- This results in a parallel-wall with external dimensions

in millimeters of 90 x I70 x 8.

  This parallelogram has around its two opposite fixing points 9 located in the middle of the flexible small sides7 of the frames 5, several possibilities of openings of the case, which correspond to the four long rigid sides I, 2, 3 and 4 or in regarding the variant, on both

long rigid sides I and 2.

  The possibility of opening the case is offered IO immediately to the user who can proceed to it without having to perform a search for positioning the case when he wants to introduce into the case its pair

  glasses that he holds in his other hand.

  I specify that if in the variant the possibilities of openings are made on both sides I and 2, it is because the fasteners that assemble face to face the two

  identical panels IO and II, are placed at their bases in 8.

  Operation: to obtain the opening of the eyeglass case, the user grasps the case with one hand by the long rigid sides 6 by placing his thumb on the rigid edge 6 which

  is facing him in the upper part of the case.

  With a simple thumb pressure on the rigid rim 6, the two small flexible sides 7 flex downward, providing access of the case to the pair of spectacles that the user can

engage with his other hand.

  As soon as the pressure of the user's thumb ceases on the rigid flange 6, the small flexible sides 7 close automatically by reorienting their positions and their initial shapes. The coating I2 of the panels IO and II covers the pair of spectacles which is protected and kept inside the case from where it can not escape in spite of any movements that the case could undergo voluntarily or no. The device according to the invention is particularly intended to offer the user multiple lateral openings and

  the automatic closing of this new model of glasses case.
