Description

The present invention relates to a composition of matter for the chemical, physical and biological purification of polluted aqueous liquids, this composition being intended to be spread in the aqueous liquid to be purified.

Patent FR-A-2 650 265 belonging to the present applicants describes a mineral and biological composition intended to be spread in the water to be purified, in particular allowing the purification and the degradation of fermentable discharges from urban, industrial, food, solid or liquid , accidental pollution, entrophysation and destrophysation of rivers, ponds and the prevention of pollution above.

This composition of matter, intended to be spread in the water to be purified is characterized in that it comprises at least the following two mineral materials, in granular form
- a porous calcium carbonate, rich in trace elements,
- a hydrated alumina silicate containing alkaline earth metals, these two materials containing, in the adsorbed state, specific bacteria for the biological degradation of organic materials containing a carbon chain.

The first material, that is to say lime carbonate, has a high porosity and therefore a large contact surface favorable to ionic exchanges with the medium to be purified.

This material is capable
to transform the soluble phosphate contained in the polluted medium into insoluble tricalcium phosphate,
- lower the fluorine and magnesium content of the polluted medium,
- to act on the hardness of the water and its radioactivity,
to adsorb a large quantity of bacteria whose biological activity will have a significant buffering capacity (pH) while degrading the organic matter, in particular the hydrocarbons contained in the polluted water, and
- thus participate in the phytoplankton-zooplankton balance, for the benefit of the latter.

The second material, consisting of a hydrated alumina silicate, makes it possible to trap the ammonium ions contained in the polluted water which are transformed into harmless molecules by the bacteria adsorbed in the material.

Like the first material, the second material above provides real shelter for bacteria.

This second material also makes it possible to adsorb by ion exchange certain heavy metals contained in the polluted medium.

According to a preferred version, the composition also contains an anamorphosed potassium alumina silicate.

The object of the present invention is to further increase the effectiveness of the composition described in patent FR-A-2,650,265.

The invention thus relates to a composition of matter for the chemical, physical and biological purification of polluted aqueous liquids, this composition being intended to be spread in the liquid to be purified and comprising at least the following two mineral materials, in granular form
- a porous calcium carbonate, rich in trace elements,
- a hydrated alumina silicate containing alkaline earth metals,
these materials containing, in the adsorbed state, specific bacteria for the biological degradation of organic materials with a carbon chain.

According to the invention, this composition is characterized in that said materials also contain, in the adsorbed state at least one enzyme capable in particular of accelerating the hydrolysis of dextrin.

The presence of enzymes within the composition of matter makes it possible to accelerate the hydrolysis of the dextrin surrounding the bacterial or algal cells, composing the filaments, which develop in hydraulic circuit, open or closed.

These enzymes make it possible, in addition to reducing algal development by biochemical and enzymatic action on the membrane of micro-algae, to form an inhibiting film-forming diastase on the surface of the treated materials in order to avoid new organic deposition.

The effect of the treatment is to avoid the attack of the sulphate-reducing agents and to provide anti-corrosion protection.

By its chemical composition, the calcocarbonic balance will favor the effect of the product and will serve as a buffer (pH).

The film-forming and passive deposit will also prevent the attachment of animalcules and other molluscs to the surface of said materials.

The application will be made to the supply system of the hydraulic circuits and placed according to the advice of the technicians.

Preferably, the enzyme present in the composition of matter is a cellulase and / or a dextrase and / or a protease.

Preferably also, said materials contain in the adsorbed state between approximately 10 / a0 and 1% units, gram of enzymes per gram of material.

The process for preparing the composition according to the invention is analogous to that described in patent FR-A-2,650,265.

It thus includes the following steps
- the bacteria are inoculated at a temperature between 25 and 370C on an appropriate culture medium,
the inoculated culture medium is subjected to ultracentrifugation, so as to concentrate the medium concentrated in bacteria in the mixture of said mineral materials in granular form, and
- the whole is dried at a temperature below 400C.

In accordance with the present invention, at least one enzyme is added to the medium intended for the hydrolysis of dextrin and cellulose.

This process thus makes it possible to adsorb the enzymes at the same time as the bacteria within the microcavities of the particles of mineral substances.

Because these enzymes are adsorbed in these microcavities, they are gradually released to produce their effects vis-à-vis the medium to be purified. These enzymes thus remain effective for a long time.

The invention also relates to the process for the chemical, physical and biological purification of polluted aqueous liquids.

According to the invention, a composition of material of the type described above is spread over the liquid to be purified.

In accordance with the present invention, a liquid additive containing said enzyme is periodically added to the liquid to be purified.

Preferably, said composition of matter is added to the water to be purified, at the rate of approximately 100 g of composition per m3 of water consumed in a day.

Preferably also, the liquid additive containing said enzyme is added every 8 to 10 days, at a rate of 2 to 5 ml of liquid additive containing between 10/00 and 1% gram units of enzymes, per m3 d water consumed in a day.

An example of application of the composition according to the invention is described below.

The composition is placed in the supply system of the hydraulic circuit, in the water holding tank or in the purification filter at a rate of 100 g / m3 and per day.

The maintenance will be done by the introduction of the liquid additive every 8 to 10 days.

The total introduction of the additive will be at a rate of 1 liter per hour minimum.

The total quantity will be introduced upstream of the pipeline, preferably in the tarpaulin.

The effects of the composition will be revealed within 3 to 4 days of being placed in the system.
