Abstract

The forearm support consists of a trough-shaped section (1) and a suspension strap (2) which goes over the shoulder. Both are made largely from a self-adhesive hook-and-loop pile fastener with linking male and female surfaces. The trough-shaped section has a front (3) and a back (4), one of which has a tab (8) with a self-adhesive surface (9) so that it can wrap over the forearm and stick to the trough's outer surface. The end of the strap also has an adhesive tab (10, 11) which sticks onto the front of the trough after passing round the back and over the shoulder of the wearer. ADVANTAGE - More convenient to put on and to adjust to shape of wearer.
