Containment box for anaesthesia of livestock, partic. pork, prior to slaughter by cutting of throat comprises: (a) a vertical sliding door (1) for introduction of the animal, (b) inclining pivoting lateral panels (3,4), of which one (3) is adjustable according to the size of the animal, (c) a frame (2) on which the two panels (3,4) articulate, (d) a panel (5) which acts as a mobile floor, (e) control systems for the panels (3,4,5).
