Abstract

The container consists of a cover (1) and a foldable belt (2) with panels (3) stuck in the middle of each small side ensuring its fixing in a parallelepiped form. The glued side panels are located with their corrugations vertical so as to reinforce the container walls. There is a bottom plate (4). Anchoring feet (6) are partially cut out in the basin (5) and located to position and hold the container on its palette (7). The feet height is not greater than the thickness of the palette cross members (8). The pivoted feet have a kneed V form under the upper floor of the palette. Description

The present invention relates to a cardboard container, with a foldable belt with reinforced walls, and positioning and holding device on its pallet.

Regarding the foldability, the current containers have foldable vertical walls in a creasing practiced vertically in the middle of the short or long sides, the lower flaps of the boxes being stapled on the pallet.

If the container does not have lower flaps, the belt has a fold on each short side, which allows it to lie inside a bowl covered by a cover, for the transport of the empty container.

These current methods have the disadvantage of offering, once unfolded, vertical walls which do not retain the rectangular shape because of the grooved sides which tend to keep their folds, which makes it difficult to fill the containers.

The device according to the invention overcomes this difficulty.

 I1 is in the form of a pallet container of the cap - belt - bowl type, having as a first characteristic a foldable belt with attached panels, glued on half of each short side, ensuring the locking of its parallelipiped shape thanks to to a dimension slightly greater than the internal width of the belt, the other dimension being equal to the height of the belt.

 I1 has a second characteristic in that these glued panels are arranged with their vertical grooves, which offers the advantage of strengthening the small walls of the container, and thus significantly increasing its resistance to dynamic vertical compression.

In the first case, the use of staples can be prohibitive, the current trend emphasizing the recycling of packaging.

In the other case, the system comes up against a paradox: the great height of the lugs under the floor of the pallet, necessary to resist the tensile force to which they can be subjected, entails a high risk of tearing when the forks of the lifting devices enter under the pallet. Thus the search for greater solidity causes a risk of embrittlement.

The third characteristic of the invention makes it possible to escape this paradox.

The device in fact comprises hooking tabs partially cut in the bottom of the container arranged so as to position the container on its pallet, and which ensure its maintenance without their height being greater than the thickness of the cross members of the pallet , which makes them compatible with the use of the forks of lifting devices.

This is possible thanks to a fifth characteristic according to which the front part of the hooking lugs comes to occupy, for the locking of the maintenance, the housing left vacant by the rear part intended, for its part, to bear under the floor of the pallet.

The passage of the hooking and locking tabs between the boards of the pallet is possible thanks to an articulation which allows the supporting shoulders and locking devices to retract to pass into the upper clearing of the pallet, and makes it possible to release the supporting shoulders which then take support under the floor, and fold the locking shoulders in the housing left free for this purpose.

A groove at the base of each leg performs the following two functions

The arrangement of the hooking and retaining tabs at the four corners of the bottom of the container, inside the outer planks in the width direction, and inside the sleepers, in the length direction, ensures positioning and setting in three dimensions.

An opening of sufficient width to pass four fingers is cut at the front of the hooking lugs to allow manual entry and, therefore, folding according to the different joints.

With reference to these drawings, the container consists of a cover (1), a belt (2) with walls reinforced by panels (3) glued on half of each short side, a bottom plate ( 4), a bowl (5) in which the hooking lugs (6) are cut, and a pallet (7).

The dimensions of the bowl are such that the cap covers it without exceeding the overall dimensions of the pallet. In its folded and unfolded configurations, the container according to the invention remains integral with the pallet.

With reference to FIGS. 4 to 8, the positioning and holding device consists of four hooking lugs (6) cut out from the bowl (5) of the container, arranged so as to position the container on the pallet (7 ) and which maintain it without their height being greater than the thickness of the cross-member (8) of the pallet.

The V shape of the tab is obtained by folding along a groove (9) over the entire length of the hooking tab.

This length must be provided much greater than the space between two boards of the pallet (7) to ensure good support of the shoulders (10a) of the tab under the upper floor.

The passage of the tab in the clearing (11) of the pallet is made possible by the retraction of the shoulders (10 a) and (10 b) of the tab in two grooves (12) spaced apart by a length necessarily less than the clearing.

The tilting of the tab through the upper clearing (11) of the pallet is done by folding according to a creasing (13) spaced from the edge of the body by a distance slightly greater than the width of the cross, to allow the setting in length of container after lug is formed and locked.

The setting in width is obtained by the distance separating in width the legs two by two, and by the stop constituted by the edge (14) of each leg once formed and locked. The length of these edges is equal to the sum of the thicknesses of the bottom of the container (5) and the slatted floor (11).

The front shoulders (10 b) occupy the space left free by the rear shoulders, thanks to the articulation around a groove (15).

The widths of the shoulders (10 a) and (10 b) are therefore identical.

The broken angle of the front shoulders (10b) is intended to strengthen the base of the stops (16) where the stress is greatest when the tab is formed and locked.

Indeed, each folded tab exerts a thrust in the direction of the stops, which guarantees that the tab remains in shape.
