Abstract

Une plaquette d'assurage sert à fixer une corde, principalement par l'intermédiaire d'un mousqueton, d'un maillon rapide ou de tout autre système. Grâce à cette corde un grimpeur peut progresser en toute sécurité sur une paroi rocheuse naturelle ou artificielle et est retenu contre toute chute dans le cas où il viendrait à glisser sur un point d'appui.
