Abstract

A process, for constructing trenches protected by guide sheaths and protective caps for sheetpiles, uses a guide, vibrating bucket and sheetpile cap simultaneously. Mechanical excavators are used with the bucket acting as pile driver. The protective cap (1) has a reinforced top (2) with a V-shaped shell in the middle, lifting rings (4) and two legs (5) with slots (6) for chained pins (7) to hold the sheetpile during driving. USE/ADVANTAGES - Speeds up work and reduces costs.
