Abstract

The display (7) fits into tight passageways on the main telephone body, so that the click fit section (17) on the display unit cannot be extracted. The display unit (8) is mounted in an oblong container and also has push button functions (9). One end of the container has spigots (13) which are mounted on rotating sections in the main body. The base of the telephone has a protrusion (20) with teeth (22) which contacts a flexible section (23) on the display unit. This mechanism allows the display unit to be stably notched up and down to a given angle, up to 30 degrees from horizontal. The telephone also has push button dialling, and push button function selection. ADVANTAGE- Mechanical implementation is simple and sturdy.
