Abstract

The invention relates to a system for binding several independent sheets, having a back cover (1a) and a front cover (1b) hinged together so that one can be folded over the other with said sheets at least partly enclosed between them. According to the invention, the back cover (1a) comprises, near its hinge, at least one slit forming a tongue (11) that points towards said hinge, and the inside surface of the front cover is coated, on an area immediately opposite said slit (4) after folding, with an adhesive substance (5) covered with a protective strip (6), while the sheets each have near their end to be bound at least one slit (7) whose dimensions fit those of said tongue (11), in such a way that said tongue (11) can be inserted through the slits of said sheets to secure them; the inside surface of the tongue and/or part of the front sheet (2a) can be glued to the adhesive part of the front cover (1b) after the protective strip (6) has been pulled off and said front cover folded down. The invention is particularly intended for making a book of transport tickets.

Description

 System for linking together several sheets.

 The invention relates to a system for connecting several generally independent sheets. The invention is more particularly intended for quickly making a linked bundle of transport tickets.

 It is known, in particular in air transport, to prepare a set of transport tickets (flight ticket, boarding ticket, receipt, etc.), at least some of the tickets possibly being provided with one or more magnetic tracks.

 This type of ticket known under the acronym "A.T.B" requires, for practical reasons to bring together the constituent tickets.

 A simple and known system consists in collecting the banknotes in a pocket.

 This procedure of course concerns any assembly of tickets or tickets with or without magnetic tracks such as rail transport tickets, where the assembly includes for example a "round trip" and / or "round trip" ticket as well as '' one way booking ticket and / or one way booking ticket, etc ...

 I1 is often necessary to show or compost a ticket without giving it so that the classic pocket requires in particular storage and classification manipulations.

 This is why the inventor has found a particularly simple and rapid system for linking various sheets together. However, it is clear that if the invention relates more particularly to the constitution of a set of transport tickets, many other applications are possible since the invention makes it possible to manufacture a book on demand comprising a bundle of any sheets.

 The system according to the invention comprises two plates respectively from below and from above, hinged together so as to be able to fold over one another by enclosing, at least in part, the sheets to be connected and it is remarkable in that the bottom plate is provided in the vicinity of its articulation, with at least one slot forming at least one tongue directed towards said aticulation and in that the internal face of the top plate is coated, on a facing area after folding of said slot , of an adhesive substance covered with a removable protective strip while the sheets each comprise in the vicinity of its end to be connected, at least one slot of dimensions conjugate with those of said tongue so that said sheets can be hung by their slit on said tongue while at least the internal face of the latter and / or part of the top sheet can be glued to the adherent part of the internal face of the dish from above after removing the protective strip and folding down said top plate.

 According to one embodiment, the two dishes come from the same sheet and are separated from each other by a groove serving as a fold line.

 I1 can also be advantageous for at least one of the dishes to have dimensions at least as large as those of the sheets so as to form a cover dish.

 In this case and if it is at least the bottom dish which forms a cover dish, the latter optionally includes a reinforcement in its zone provided with the tongue.

 For certain applications, each sheet has a cutting line or a breaking line intended to separate a useful part of the sheet from a binding heel part.

 In this case and quite advantageously the slot made on each sheet is substantially rectilinear while the cutting line or breaking point is superimposed and extends said slot.

 Another embodiment is remarkable in that each sheet has at least one notch in its zone to be connected so that the dishes can be glued to each other through said notches.

 For the application mentioned above, the sheets are transport tickets intended to form a set of tickets in the form of a linked bundle.

The invention will be clearly understood on reading the description which follows and which refers to the attached drawings in which:

 The drawings show systems according to the invention which each comprise a bottom dish 1a and a top dish 1b joined together by a fold line lc.

 In fact, it is clear that these dishes come from a single sheet in which the fold line lc has been provided, for example in the form of a groove, the importance of which depends on the number of sheets to be bound.

 However, one can also imagine other means of bringing the two dishes together in an articulated manner.

 As shown in FIG. 1, the dishes 1a and 1b have sufficient dimensions to form a true cover for the sheets to be bound, shown diagrammatically in 2a to 2d.

 However it is clear that the plates or one of them could be much smaller on the sides adjacent to the side of the binding, than the corresponding dimension of the sheets themselves. It is also possible to provide, with a smaller top dish, for example along the dashed line 13 in FIG. 1, another dish intended for making the top cover proper, which facilitates the opening of the binding, a such cover being shown diagrammatically at 14 also in phantom in said FIG. 1.

 The bottom dish has at the top a laminated reinforcement 3 (not compulsory) in which is formed a slot 4 which also crosses the dish 1a, this slot having in FIG. I, the shape of a V whose point is directed towards the fold line 1c so as to form a tongue 11.

 The term slit must be taken in its broadest sense including any incision, cut or other with removal of material or not.

 The internal face of the top dish 1b comprises, in the vicinity of the fold line 1c, a deposit of adhesive substance 5 covered with a removable protective strip 6.

 The sheets 2a to 2d to be linked each have at their head a rectilinear slot 7 (FIG. 1) in the extension of which is provided a line 8 for cutting or initiating breakage, thus forming at the head a heel 12.

 Depending on the applications, another line of initiation of rupture 9 may for example be provided to constitute a detachable coupon.

 According to variants, it is clear that the slot 4 in FIG. 1 could have the shape of a curved arc as shown in 4 'in FIG. 2 or else there could be several such as 4 "a and 4" b on Figure 3, the tabs 11 ', ll "a and ll" b thus formed, however, still being directed towards the line lc.

 The corresponding slots of the sheets can then be of the same nature as the slot 7 in FIG. 1 as shown in 7 'and 7 "on the sheet 2a of FIGS. 2 and 3 or in the double form 7"' a and 7 "'b of the variant of Figure 3.

 Furthermore, the sheets may have, as an accessory, notches on their heel part as shown diagrammatically at 10 on the sheet 2a of FIG. 1.

 The use is particularly simple.

 Indeed, it suffices to hang the sheets by their slot 7, 7 ', 7 ", 7' '' a, 7" 'b in the tabs 11, 11', ll "a, l1" b obtained by means of slots 4, 4 ', 4 "a and 4" b.

 Then just remove the protective strip 6 and paste the adhesive area 5 on the assembly, by folding the flat lb on the flat la.

 The adhesive area 5 will stick the tongue as well as the heel 12 of the first sheet 2a.

 If the sheets 2a to 2d also have the notches shown diagrammatically at 10, the adhesive zone will also stick the exposed part of the dish 1a.

 Each sheet can be subsequently detached by cutting along its line 8, the heel part 12 remaining connected.

 As has already been said, the invention relates more particularly but not exclusively, the binding of transport tickets, in particular air tickets, the detachable parts along the lines 9, constituting, for example, boarding stubs ...

 Other embodiments or modifications can of course be imagined without departing from the scope of the invention. A fold line of the flat lb may, for example, be provided to facilitate the opening of the binding.

 The cutting line 8 or initiation of rupture which extends the slot 7 can of course advantageously extend the latter relative to one of its edges and in particular the edge opposite to the line lc.

 For example also, as already said, the sheet lb can be reduced in size along the dashed line 13 of Figure 1, while providing an additional cover dish 14. The top dish could also be in in this case a simple extension of the reinforcement 3 and the cover plate 14 an extension of the bottom plate, etc.

Claims (8)

 1) System for connecting together several sheets (2a to 2d) and comprising two plates respectively from below (la) and from above (lb), hinged together so as to be able to fold over one another by enclosing, at least in part, said sheets, system characterized in that the bottom plate (la) is provided in the vicinity of its articulation, with at least one slot (4) forming at least one tongue (11) directed towards said articulation and in that the inner face of the top dish is coated, on a facing area after folding of said slot (4), with an adhesive substance (5) covered with a removable protective strip (6) while the sheets each comprise in the vicinity of its end to be connected, at least one slot (7) of dimensions conjugate with those of said tongue (11) in such a way that said sheets can be hung by their slot on said tongue (11) while at least the internal face thereof and / or part of the sheet the top cover (2a) can be glued to the adhesive portion of the internal face of the top dish (lb) after removing the protective strip (6) and folding down the top dish.  2) System according to claim 1 characterized in that the two dishes (la, lb) come from the same sheet and are separated from each other by a groove serving as a fold line (tic).  3) System according to one of claims 1 and 2 characterized in that at least one of the dishes (la, lb) has dimensions at least as large as those of the sheets (2a to 2d) so as to form a cover dish.  4) System according to claim 3, at least the bottom dish (la) forms a cover dish, characterized in that said bottom dish (la) has a reinforcement (3) in its zone provided with the tongue (11) .  5) System according to one of claims I to 4 characterized in that each sheet (2a to 2d) has a cutting line or breaking point (8) intended to separate a useful part of the sheet from a heel part (12) binding.  6) System according to claim 5 characterized in that the slot (7) formed on each sheet is substantially rectilinear while the cutting line or breaking point (8) is superposed and extends said slot (7).  7) System according to one of claims 1 to 6 characterized in that each sheet has at least one notch (10) in its zone to be connected so that the dishes (la, lb) can be glued one on the 'other through said notches.  8) System according to one of claims 1 to 7 characterized in that the sheets (2a to 2d) are transport tickets intended to form a set of tickets in the form of a connected bundle.
