Abstract

The section (P) according to the invention comprises a back (D) and, in front of the latter, a part (C) defining, with it, a lower rabbet and moreover definining an upper rail (R). The rail (R) is set back in relation to the front wall (12) of the part (C). Moreover, the section (P) is hollow and includes internal partitions for contributing to its rigidity and to allow the notching of the part forming the rail (R). The section (P) can be used for making the frames in most of the garage door systems, especially those comprising sliding doors and concertina doors.

1) Profile for garage door type door frame, comprising a back (D) intended to be applied and fixed on the edges of the door opening, and, in front of the back (D), a part (C) defining with it a lower rebate, and defining on the other hand an upper rail (R), characterized in that the rail (R) is set back relative to the front wall (12) of the part (C) in order to allow positioning the inner face of the door leaf substantially in the same plane as the front face of the front wall (12), in that it is a hollow profile, and in that partitions internal are provided to contribute to its rigidity as well as to allow the notching of the part forming the rail (R).

2) Profile according to claim 1, characterized in that it is obtained by extrusion of a plastic material such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

3) Profile according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that internal partitions are provided in order to allow obtaining, by cutting, a derived flat profile (P4) intended to form a frame amount in the systems of door where there is sliding of the opening along this amount.

4) Profile according to claim 3, characterized in that it comprises a back wall (1) forming with walls (2 to 5) two wings (D1, D2) on either side of the front part (C ), which is joined to the wall (1) by its upper and lower walls (10, 11).

5) Profile according to claim 4, characterized in that the front walls (2, 3) of the wings (D1, D2) each have externally a longitudinal groove bordered by internal partitions (6,7 and 8, 9), which are intended to receive the fixing screws.

6) Profile according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that internal partitions (17, 18) define with the walls (14 to 16) of the rail (R) and with the wall (11) an internal channel of substantially rectangular shape.

7) Profile according to claim 6, characterized in that a slight recess is formed between the rear wall (16) of the rail (R) and the internal partition (18) extending it, by which the latter is offset towards the rear relative to the wall (16).

8) Door system characterized in that the frame is at least partly made with profile (P) according to one of claims 1 to 7.

9) door system according to claim 8, characterized in that it is a sliding door.

10) door system according to claim 8, characterized in that it is an accordion door.
